Statistics on my incredibly bad villager hunting luck

I've been getting horrible luck finding raymond through nook miles islands and the campsite method, so I just wanted to share the statistics that are making me lose my mind. Here was my initial attempt using NMT: Island hunt, and here was my attempt using the campsite method: Campsite hunt.
In summary, I traveled to 372 islands without seeing him, then checked 217 campsite villagers (with no smug on my island) without seeing him. I've seen every other smug villager at least twice, except marshal and curlos who used to be my island residents.

That is what i was thinking! When someone here had this same issue they ended up getting him as a random move in from the void! It is weird but that might be the reason and the way to get him, if op is willing to sacrifice a plot to test this out.

That’s so annoying! I know the feeling. I’ve had such terrible luck finding any of the villagers on my wishlist, and I’ve got 7 different animals I’m looking for!

The Mystery Tours don't prove anything, but your Campsite cycles sounds like Raymond may be in your void.
