not tryng to offend anyone but i'm starting to get bored of New leaf, like i've been playing it for 2 months now and it's always the same thing everyday same routine (fossils, checking shops, pwp, expanding, island)

and How do u guys manage not to get bored of the game?

One time I didn't play for 2 weeks because I was bored. I eventually came back because spring was here, Festivale, and I wanted to eventually see the pink trees. I just find stuff to do like trading or something else as well.

I have no idea how I've played this game for so long. I've been playing for over 7 months, but I DID take a month off (nobody moved out! :D) because of Pokemon X. I set goals for myself. Once I get literally EVE-RY-THANG done, I'll reset and do it all over again until the next AC game comes out xD

You've only played for 2 months and already bored? After 8 months, still going strong everyday.

Playing NL with others definitely makes the mundanity go away for a bit.

Same thing happened to me a while back and I pretty much quit playing altogether for around four months -.-

Now that I started again I've been way more into public works projects, hybrid breeding, paths, visiting dream towns, trying to convince the HHA that my house isn't a total dump, etc etc. I've been having way more fun now that I'm paying attention to more aspects of the game n__n

I'm offended!
*Sarcasm* For those who don't understand it...

Just set some goals for yourself, try make your town as amazing as possible, same with your house, try to complete the badges etc.

:0000 same here, I stopped playing for 4 months then I rebuilt my town to start over, now im having much more fun than before since I just realized the beauty of the game <3

I got bored after Christmas (probably because I spent so much time landscaping my town) and took a month and a half hiatus. I don't regret it at all, because none of my dreamies moved out and after coming back it became enjoyable again. Play with friends/get engages with the online community and set goals. AC isn't a game for everyone though, so I don't blame you.

Bored... NEVER!
I have been playing New Leaf everyday since the very day it has come out in the U.S. The funny thing is the more I play it, the more I get into it. I feel like I'm just getting started. I still have a ton of public work projects to work on (if I will not worry about changing my town, I hate change, lol), I still need to get more badges, donate more fish, a lot of paintings (been slacking here), and bugs, and just so much more. If I had a percent complete on this game I would say I'm only at, maybe, 20%. I play at least 1 hour a day, AT LEAST, and sometimes I will play as much as 8-9 hours. Actually, just Monday, I played more than 10 hours because I was busy with the Festival (Made so many bells that day from Pav?).

I have to say, I was a bit offended but I don't blame you :/

yeah i get really burnt out too ;3; i have taken several week breaks in between playing (ive had it since it came out)
i ended up resetting my town because i want to have a perfect layout and thats helped some i guess but its hard to start all the badges and stuff over

I've been playing since the release date. Adding goals is very helpful. I just completed getting all the hybrids a couple of days ago.
Having another town to work on helps too. Goal right now is to complete the bug collection. Just need 3 and one town will be done.

I haven't gotten bored because I'm always thinking about how I could improve my town/house's design. Especially town design because it's like a puzzle that you can't ever "perfectly" solve, but you can keep trying to improve.

There are things that can't be moved like the plaza, town hall, retail, lakes and rocks that you have to try and fit your pwp's, villager houses, tree and flowers around which can take a lot of thought.

I've heard a lot of people complain about the un-intuitive pwp spacing and tree planting rules, which I also definitely think should be improved. But when looked at another way, they kind of add to the "puzzle like" feel of town design that provides an interesting challenge. Basically I find it fun to see how good a town I can build within the game's set of constraints.

Also, I'll echo what a lot of other people have said that playing with other people adds a ton to the game. Joining this forum has definitely increased my enjoyment of the game:).

I usually do dips
like I'm really into it for six month and then the next five kinda fade out but then I'm back on it again 24/7. It's normal to do that as long as you're time and money is well spent :}

Try to unlcok everything, get your house fully expanded, build more PWPs, just keep devoloping the town and set goals for yourself

i never get bored of playing Animal Crossing lol. Just the thought of talking to my villagers in the morning makes me happy >:D<. I also love waking them up when they're still sleeping lol.

If you don't want to play it, don't play it. Sometimes you just need a break. I just started playing again after not for a month and half away. I'm enjoying ac again instead of just playing because I felt I had to.

When Pokemon X/Y came out, I stopped playing until the end of February. I have "spurts" of wanting to play, so maybe you're like that as well?

As most of the posts I've read, I too halted AC as soon as I got Pok?mon X and Y. Though, after beating the game and completing my goal (Obtain every Pok?mon shiny), I got bored and went back to AC to see how everything was doing. Noone moved, just a few weeds XD And I was right back into the game~
