Starting Screen Villagers

I don't know about you guys, but I usually have the same three villagers (Maple, Cheri, Rosie) come up on the starting screen! I'm pretty sure it's a location thing, as one of the villagers is in a spot where a previous villager was and they used to be on the starting screen rotation too. Have you guys noticed this? Or rather, do you guys have this as well? Who do you have on yours if so?

I have something similar. The three that usually rotate for me are Coco, Opal and Fauna but they normally just walk around where they always are (e.g. Coco will pretty much circle her house but occasionally cross a bridge leading to my home which is fairly close to hers sooooo)
Sometimes Fauna and Opal will switch places though!

I think it's pretty random, but I've noticed mine go with who's awake. I usually will play until I go to bed, so it's usually Roscoe, Diana, Olaf, or Hans. Or if no one's out of their house, it'll just roam around from building to building, Re-Tail, Town Hall, Train Station, and then each villager's house.

I can tell the game will show a villager if they are awake and outside their house.

I know for sure it is past 6 am if a normal villager is out walking around.

For me, I never ever have Ankha on the startup screen.

As a side note, whenever I am restarting a town and starting up a new town, Del the Alligator shows up maybe 20% of the time. I have no idea why. I guess he likes me

I have noticed that Lolly shows up on the starting screen a lot.

For me its almost always Molly. I don't mind though because she's super cute and the area around her house I've landscaped already so it's nice to see. ^_^ She lives close to the river in the middle of the map so maybe that has something to do with it. XD

I noticed the villagers that appear on my starting screen are always the last villagers i talked to before i end the game.
