alright, so mainly i'm looking for suggestions on:
- pwp's to try to get & place in my town
- specific paths/QR codes to feature/use
- general ideas for designs that i could try making lololol

so if anyone would like to offer suggestions, that would be cool!

not 100% who i want as villagers beyond my desire for Stitches and my ultimate plans to move
Merengue in because... i have a soft spot for cute things.
probably Muffy, obvs. but, yeah, figuring that out too. yay

(and now i shall reset for a map while i think and wait for suggestions c: )

My first thought is Grimm's fairy tales sort of themed? Like dress two players as hansel and gretel, have a dark, spooky wood sort of theme, have a wolf and 3 bears? And then Merengue could satisfy the gingerbread house type theme, being a walking custard... Maybe one of the player houses by the sea, mermaid style, so fisherman and the magic fish theme? And three snooty females for 3 evil stepsisters... Man, you could go all out with this. Unless I'm completely off track.

Don't know why but I just thought about the cry boy wolf

Where he went to everyone and saying a wolf was taking the sheeps until it really happen and the people don't. Believe him

Idk why it made remind me of that
Also the red hood and the pig ones....

sorry, i went to bed and then i was at work, but here i am!! thanks so far guys u're great c:

i do like the grimm fairy tales and that aesthetic, but i don't want that specific of a theme i think, more of just the essence of like... the gothic style (but in terms of, like... the 18th/19th century gothic, not the contemporary Hot Topic gothic) like... edgar allen poe, rainy moods, metal/stone/brick architecture, etc... antique gothic, maybe?
but i do think that maybe fairy tale elements gone dark is a great idea @AshleighOfKhazdhan !!

and @ZebraNaomy yeah the boy who cried wolf! i've always thought about the darker tones of that too hmmm maybe this calls for a wolf cranky villager? like Wolfgang... i think his colors are really good for gothic style... i was even thinking Hamphrey, Roscoe, or Avery as a cranky villager because their color palettes and appearances seem fitting

anyway, for reference, here are some things that i've been looking @ for inspo:
inspo 1, inspo 2
inspo 3, inspo 4
inspo 5, inspo 6, inspo 7.

addition:
oh! also, the villagers i have so far are Bob, Angus, Dora, Velma, Bubbles, and Kid Cat. i really want to keep Bob because i love him so much... SO much... lmao... his house is just so far from where i have all of the other houses right now cx that's the only house that started out in a weird spot...
but now i'm resetting for either an Uchi or a Smug, and i am aiming for -
Uchis: Muffy, Agnes, Pashmina, or Deirdre
Smugs: Beardo, Chops, Hans, Zell, or Julian

Here's what I'm thinking after looking at your inspiration links:

-You could make a custom stained glass window like the spider stained glass in your 'inspo 7' link.
-Orange roses, orange cosmos, purple roses, purple violets, purple pansies (and any black flowers).
-If you're going to add your town to the Dream Suite, I'd definitely go for the autumn season, evening or night (**rethinking that--summer evening or night would also be good, and then you could have the rainy weather you like)

As for PWPs:
-definitely statue fountains--maybe a lot of them
-fairytale streetlights (it's a shame they're only available in the pastel colors)
-metal benches or fairytale benches
-well
-water pump
-fairytale bridges (they look the most antique; the brick ones are maybe too rustic to be gothic?)
-the rose arch is something I could see in a gothic story, but depending on the season of your town, it might clash
-zen town hall and train station (again, it's a shame the fairy tale ones are only available in pastel)

I really think that whatever paths you use (if you use paths) are going to go a long way in setting the gothic tone of your town!
