Started my second town today

I'd been planning to start my new town on this day for a while, since it's the one year anniversary of my first town I was worried I'd be picky and end up resetting for hours for a map, but I found one I love after only two resets:

Beach on the left, separate beaches, only two ponds, not too windy river and no narrow strips of land.

I wasn't going to be picky about fruit, I just wanted anything besides peaches since that's what I have in my first town, but I got apples, my first choice (and even saw a perfect apple on a tree on my way to town hall!) And I have some cute starting villagers, including AMELIA who's one of my dreamies for this town <333 I actually shrieked when I saw her greet me at the train station.

I was considering using this copy as simply a cycle/flower breeding town for a while, then restarting it somewhere along the line to start an actual second town... but I guess I'm going full-steam ahead with the second town now, haha.

Anyway I am sure no1care but I just needed to share my excitement somewhere!

Yeah I like that a lot too! It's cute that they're next to each other, in my first town they're so far away.

Yes, Amelia is pretty awesome, and I assume that is Avery there in your signature, too, who I am after for my relatively new second town, as well. Like your map. I was one of those lucky ones who didn't know he could change maps when starting, but found out much later that the map was decent.

Nice layout. No dead space, main areas are near each other, ponds are placed on the sides, and the river meanders evenly. Nice find.

Nice! Yep, I'm going for an all bird town! For my cranky villager it was between Avery and Apollo, but I decided Avery was more unique. And I pretty much had the same experience with my first town haha.

For the curious, I put my house just to the left of the south beach entrance, which is the same spot I have it in my first town

Thanks!! I traded with someone way back last year who had an avian town, and I've been in love with the idea ever since. Birdsong is a beautiful town name! (And idk if Midori is your actual name but it's my cousin's name -- actually sort of a family name -- and I've always loved it as well )
