So I started a new town because frankly, I was bored with my old town. Now that I started over I didn?t realize how much it took to get everything going again. It took me FOREVER to get my weeding badge especially and I don?t want to TT with this town. Are there people who let you come weed their town or do I have to change my ordinance to something other than ?Beautiful? and hope for the best?

Hmm. It’ll take awhile for weeds to build up a bit, even without beautiful town, especially if you’re not tting. My experience.

THANK YOU! That?s what I thought :( I didn?t realize just how much I put into Rapture only to start over with Velaris. I had Rapture since the day it was released, but I lost the attachment to it. In this new town I met Flurry and fell in love 😍

i can definitely relate! i started my town when I was 12 or 13, and i wasn't thinking about Placement of ponds/rocks, so now i have ponds/rocks in terrible spots. i've somehow learned to manage with them, and i probably would've deleted my town, but i have so much progress that i don't want too!

if anything, the BT ordinance will lower your chances of getting the weeding badge :/

I miss my very first town sometimes. I deleted it because I also didn't feel attached to it anymore, but ever since then I've been having a hard time getting attached to other towns I've created. It also doesn't help that when I reset my town, receiving all those bells for it for all the effort I put into it from Tom Nook, the game gave me an error soon after (I literally have no idea why) and when I went to go back into it, my entire new town was just gone. It was like I just got a brand new game card.
Besides that making me really unmotivated, I'm also looking forward to the new Animal Crossing game for the Switch and I keep thinking about putting all my effort into that and at this point it's making me think, "What's the point in putting effort into a New Leaf town when the Switch version is coming out sometime this year?" I rather keep all the energy I have to put effort for the Switch version instead of draining myself for a New Leaf town.

Sorry for my rambling or if this was long. Just had a lot to say here.

I understand how you feel. There was one time I put a lot of effort into one town and didn't time travel for almost two months. I decided I got bored with it and reset and ever since then I regret it to this very day. I've tried over and over again to get back into New Leaf and play just like that one town and not time travel, but I just can't seem to get into it anymore. So right now I'm waiting for the new game to come out this year and try again with the new one. :)

I NEVER even thought to look at different maps and the map I chose had the WORST river placement and everything was too close together. I really like the map I have now and I?m excited for the new animal crossing to come out. We JUST bought a switch so I can?t wait to play

You can plant lots of flowers and pull them when they wilt to get the weeding badge a bit quicker, but it will still mean having to go without the Beautiful Town ordinance until you get the badge.

Not sure how hard it is to find people who will let you weed their towns... Check the Train Station threads, there have been quite a few lately asking to weed in other towns, so you might be able to figure out your chances by checking if they were able to find anyone to let them weed.
