So I just have built a new public works project, and it was a square standee. I used a QR code that wasn't mine to design it but whenever I try to put the design on the standee it wouldn't accept the design.

Which drives me nuts. Is there a problem with the QR code? Or does it need to be a pro design? Or is it just me...??? Thank you!

I have no idea. I've personally never worked with stands. I've heard sometimes though that path qrs also don't work?

Maybe make sure your camera is clean so it's not missing a spot of it or something? I hope you get it fixed! :)

If it was just a square standee, then no, it does not need to be a pro design. There is no problem with the QR code either. It has to be your own design in order to use it on a sign. D:

This is so sad:( I'm a horrible designer and would love to use other's codes as well. There are ways to take a design and make it your own. That runs into the issue of never sharing it or making it available in a dream town, of course. And I've never done it, so I can only point you toward that solution.

You could use this tool to make the game believe the QR is your own. I use it all the time to borrow QRs or edit them to my liking. The creator states as long as you don't go around saying you made them yourself, it's no problem. I simply never let Luna make the designs available in my dream.

The basic process:
1) Upload a code of your own. This can be a squiggle, whatever, just a basic pattern.
2) Copy creator button. Each game has it's own unique code that let's it know where a pattern comes from.
3) Upload the code you want to use. You can see here who made the code and it's name.
4) Paste creator button. The QR code on the page will change to show you as the creator.
5) Scan it and you're good to go.

Am I wrong, or can you delete codes once you place them on flags and standees? That way could you still share the other designs through your dream address?

You can town flags. Mine's saved with Mable, but isn't in my personal patterns. Don't know about standees though.
