No idea why Chapter 9 won't upload, so here it is! Only read if you have read chapter 8!
I didn't want to wake up, but of course, everyone wakes up in the end. I woke up to a stormy day-the wind was howling at my windows, and the terrace outside my room was covered in a deep puddle of water. I sighed-both of relief and of the fact our customer amount would be greatly depleted. I was a bit worried for Maria, as she was struggling at the moment.
That was it. I would help her to the best of my ability today!
I came down in my usual dress with a white apron on. The key, however, remained under the pillow.
Inside the shop were officers.
Once again, my sickened feeling arose.
The officers were crowding around a body with a rough hole in the center of his body.
I pushed through them, curious as to what it was.
Eric.
It was Eric's body.
I collapsed, and the last thing I remembered was screaming.

Maria shook me awake, and attempted to calm me down, but she couldn't. The loss of a friend would be much to much for any normal person to tolerate, let alone if you were the one who killed him yourself. I tried to tell her it was all my fault, that I should have never have picked up that silly little key, but she just rocked me, and told me it wasn't. She didn't know if it really was or wasn't-she just presumed I blamed myself, even if it was truly myself.
I was in an utter state.
The moment Maria left, I threw the key out of the window and through the gutter, hoping to never see it again.
I cried myself to sleep that night, hoping that it would keep me awake, but it didn't.
"Please....don't let me kill anyone else!!!"
That was it. I would help her to the best of my ability today!
