Spring: Pink trees?

I'm just wondering what kind of trees turn into cherry blossom trees in the spring time? I've had a couple of mixed answers, about all trees but pine will be able to turn pink but others say that only saplings or non-fruit trees turn pink in the spring?? I'm just wondering about what the real answer is, since this will be my first animal crossing spring and I really want my whole town to look and be part of it <3 thanks for reading ~

I believe it's only the regular trees (not cedar) that turn pink. Fruit trees will remain green. ^^

this is correct. i call them oak trees, but i'm not sure what kind of tree the sapling is meant to be...

Money trees will also turn pink.

your town tree and those normal trees. those that look exactly like the fruit trees just without fruits.
