(Spoilers Inside) Completing the Museum

Alright so, I was finally able to complete the entire museum 100%. Was super excited to donate my last art piece (which was the Wild Painting Left Half), and when I did... well, I didn't get anything. Just a thank you message from Blathers. I was so sad. In New Leaf, you at least got a Model of the Museum item. I also realized that I didn't get any collectibles or DIYS for completing the Art Section. Which, I guess is fine because in the past games you didn't get anything for completing it either.

Personally speaking, if the only incentive of completing a section is to just have it completed, well, that doesn't feel very satisfying or worth it. It looks nice, sure, but that's about it. I feel what made getting all the bugs and fish feel worth was getting the DIY for the Golden Net and the Golden Fishing Rod. Why you get a reward for completing bugs and fish but not the entire museum is... interesting. I did love what Blathers had to say though upon 100%, like the way they wrote his lines, he's so wholesome

From what I've heard, the museum isn't finished being expanded on. But idk if this is true. So maybe my museum actually isn't completed after all? With how many more DLC updates this game is gonna get hopefully there's a Deep Sea Diving Section. Or a new section that has never been introduced in previous Animal Crossing games, such as a Gyroid Exhibit.

What do you all think? Would you like getting anything for completing the entire museum or art section? What new sections of the museum would you like to see?

congrats!! =D i don't think it's done though lolz they said we are to get more updates and i really REALLY hope diving is in it cuz it was so fun in NL to just swim around plus i loved looking at what was caught. i'd love to see and observatory level added on for celeste where she can tell you about the constellations. not give you anything but a cute area where you can learn if you wish to and if she's not in there one night you got lucky and she's roaming around and will do her normal diy give. a cute gift shop would be cool too like you could buy scaled down models of the dinos you completed with or without skin, posters of the art work and mini figs of statues, shirts with pics of bugs/fish on them ect.

Yes, I completely agree with all these things they would be insanely hype and fun. I don't think it necessarily feels incomplete, but I do feel there is so much room to improve upon the museum experience to take it to the next level. Your ideas/wishes would be fire additions for sure.

I personally am excited to finish my museum regardless of if you get anything or not. I just love seeing all the little displays all finished and completed out with all the rocks and such. I just finished the fossil section today, and I couldn't be more pleased myself. ^w^

oh don't get me wrong i love how the museum is now but yeah new stuff is always fun! same with the game play like yeah i want more but i always want more (like every game player out there lolz) but i'm also happy with how it stands now. lolz thanks i've been wanting all those things since NL (thanks to the extra rooms in the museum i made some cool shops ect.) but having it actually happen would be amazing! like i would love a shirt with a shark on it (that won't eat my custom space slots)or tiny models of the dinos and fish. i know flick makes models but his can be a bit...large...like i want a small one to set on my dresser or fireplace.

Congrats on the fossil section! I'll admit, it is really cool looking once you get everything. I love how villagers will comment on certain stuff you've donated too

congrats! it might be wishful thinking but i really hope the museum will be expanded on with new exhibits for deep-sea creatures and gyroids. it kind of sucks that there’s not really a reward for completing the museum currently but i hope that just means that nintendo plans on adding more to it ;u;

Past game gave us that.

We get all the bugs and fish, and they give us a DIY (Choked that one out) for golden tools that break.

I'm still trying to craft 5k tools and endless amount of furniture. Quality of life in the game is really lacking with all the dialogue and one item at a time

You caught all the fish, right? Dude, the Mahi Mahi and String Fish took me ages to catch LOL. Roughly 280 bait for Mahi and 450 bait for String. This game had me like... dang.
