(Spoilers?) A bunch of interesting things found via datamining

I spectate a datamining channel on discord, and someone in there was datamining the V 1.0.0. patch... Found a looot of evidence for art, cafe, gyroids... Things we've all heard a lot about... but also hints towards vegetables, bushes, and a deep sea diving section of the critterpedia..

Obviously not saying he knows any of this is coming, since no one but Nintendo knows, but knowing that all this stuff is being found is really exciting. Trying not to get too excited, but animal crossing really is a game that they could add an absolutely absurd amount of stuff to, and even if nothing here comes to pass, I think the game is going to look very different a year or two from now, which is crazy exciting to me!

i can't wait for bushes because fences seems repetitive sometimes, i have some paths & walkway which i know would look amazing with bushes.

I can't wait for the next major update coming. It's supposed to include Earth Day and that's apparently gonna be on the 22nd so it's literally any day now.

the most out there thing is vegetables, but it would be super interesting to see how they add it. based on the pics you posted it makes the most sense that they would be a part of the earth day event, maybe a crafting material similar to the eggs from bunny day but probably (hopefully) found in a different way? can't wait for when the update goes out or nintendo releases something detailing the update

Yeah, I'm not putting all my hope into the Earth Day update patch, I think we're going to see monthly-ish updates for quite a while... But I'm just excited to see what kind of stuff they do add and how they implement it!

I would be super hesitant to expect all of this in the Earth Day patch. IF this is coming I expect content updates to be much more gradual than that...

I feel like the earth day patch is going to be something relatively simple for earth day (possibly with bushes added, but I'm not too sure with the vegetable thing. maybe it's more of a special plant in the same category as bushes that offers vegetables that can be eaten or used to craft like fruit? kind of like how there's the different types of trees as well as the fruit trees), as well as art and the cafe being added to the game. the fact that multiple people found dialogue in the game that evidenced both of these features has to mean something, whether they accidentally added the dialogue too early or they wanted to create hype

Ninji is a pretty reliable source, I've seen them do datamining stuff in the past. They've never really had a reason to lie, so I find a lot of this trustworthy. However, expectations remain low. Just in case.

We did. I haven't seen anything about the tropical fruit in the datamine channel though.

Honestly, if this datamined info ends up being confirmed, and this ends up being the type of content we're going to get in the coming months... I can go without some of the fruit they added in New Leaf. Easily a sacrifice we can make for this stuff.

IF they add things like vegetables and bushes in now, I can easily see them adding tropical fruit in another update. Maybe one during summer?
...Then again that wouldn’t work too well for the Southern Hemisphere though. We’ll see.
