Nope, you're only given the option to participate in a "Splatfest Battle" the whole time. Basically the whole thing is grinding to get better titles. xD

I figured as much. Darn, I really wanted to play ranked during splatfest or be given the option to go 'normal'. Oh well... probably gonna spend 5 or 10 minutes when I get on to just dance around to Callie and Marie singing in the plaza. XD I've kinda already heard the songs for splatfest on youtube and I have to admit I've been listening to them on repeat... my hype is beyond new levels of hype right now. XDDD Squid Sisters are taking over my life. No help is needed. XDDDD

3vs 4 still won. I rampaged their base whilst teh one other stopped them getting apst the ramp in urchin underpass and the other one covered everything roller stylee

I've come across a few people who are any good but they are all in rock and its only been like 3 people.
 
Clearly all the good people stopped playing. I've been on a serious losing streak... halfway to King status, though!

You get Super Sea Snails as far as I know, which can be used in place of money for rerolls with Spyke.

I think there's like Legend or Serenity or something above King/Queen? I have no idea, I've only seen King/Queen as the highest, but higher ranks were mentioned in the update thing.

Up to 12 super sea snails (to reroll/add slots for free to gear)
And the winning team egts double the SSS, so up to 24.
Not sure how many ranks there are though. S:

You should get bonus points for winning starting with <4 people.
I managed to distract their whole team for a good 45 seconds without dying near the end of the match, which gave my 2 teammates enough time to claim most of the middle of the stage. :P

You get it at the end. The number you get is determined by your rank. So if you're a king, you'll get 12 SSS (24 if you win).
 
having a blast at splatfest, only problem is that I have a feeling that us cat people could do better XP
them dogs are quiet brutal! we did win a lot but man was it hard XD
 
managed to get champion title, hoping I can get queen later..
Also, when I get paired up with a dog team and wait to find a cat team, the cat team ends up being blue like us and all their titles are dog titles, not cat ones..then when we get in game we get random colors, like green and pink. Happened a few times..

I think it's still kind of weird since the point is dog vs cat not dog vs dog.

It's a dog eat dog world out there.
It makes sense though, if one team has more players online they can't be expected to sit and wait and watch it load forever. And It's unfair if the other team get spread across matches to always have fewer members on their team. <- that was how it was with the first japanese Splatfest and is why these ones were delayed.


I'm charismatic rock boy atm, 49/99 now. I've won about 75-80% of the matches I've played too! And 2 of those were with fewer members on my team! But, I have been DC'd a lot more than usual. :C
