True, but the weird thing is- I've never had that happen to me. I've played MK8 since two days after its release and while everyone else was talking about "invisible items" and all that I was so confused because it never once happened to me. I've never been hit by something that wasn't there.
 
Seekers aren't supposed to hunt you when you're submerged in ink, right? So how tf did one chase me halfway across the map when I was under inK?!

The person using the seeker has to lock onto you as they use it, which they can only do if you're in kid form. After that it follows you.
 
Seekers stop following you as hard (or completely) if you submerge and move away from its path, so unless you ran in a relatively straight line that generally doesn't happen. Of course, if you submerge and don't move away enough or there's no room, it runs you over anyway.
 
From my experience of using them they can still chase you if your swimming in ink as long of they have locked it on to you. Otherwise they just go in a straight line.

Someone threw one at me near one of the bases in Skatepark, it was coming straight at me so I hid in the ink and slid up the ramp of the central tower but it followed me up there.

Ofc this is the kind of thing that everyone else can pull off except for me. My Seekers have faulty programming.
 
Hope you don't mind me interjecting my opinion, but I frequently use the .52 gal Deco and the seekers do go up the ramp in the middle. I've killed a few snipers that way which is always pleasing. And as the others said if they've locked onto you it will follow even if you're submerged.

Yep, I main the .52 Deco and they do go up the ramp, but my main concern is it like didn't hit a wall or anything when following me? Usually they're really sensitive about that. Must have been a miracle lol

Oh yeah, a lot of mine usually end up hitting a wall. Combo of bad aim and people leading them there. Sometimes I don't even want to target anyone as I like it to go straight. Miracles do happen.

Anyone else have problems with players from Japan? The hit time seems to be way off sometimes. While my sister was in her Kraken form she died like seconds later while still in it. Then there will be times I'll just splat and no ink even hit me.

Japanese players have always been a problem. They're always too OP mainly because of their lag. Whenever I tackle a Japan player it's always one of those "we kill each other" type things when they're using a Splattershot Jr and I've got the .96 Gal. It just doesn't add up.

I believe it was yesterday a Japan Kraken flew through one of the walls you can't swim up and splatted me.

I kind of wish you had a regional/worldwide search like in Mario Kart 8. Oh well.

Today I beat my high score earning 2,143 points.
