Splatoon Splatoon General Discussion (HYPE THREAD)

If you really wanted the mini game before anything else, you can skip to the 4th row of challenges I believe? (since you don't have to go in order) Assuming it's unlocked from singleplayer. I've skipped to one of the last challenges and then started going in order from the top so iunno.

Yeah, I just completed world 8 on the single player. I'm playing it as slow as possible, and so far haven't had anything spoiled, so it's dragging out the excitement. :P ~ And world 8 is def one of the upcoming dlc maps isn't it? The greenhouse thing, that was fun, though the octolings kept interrupting when I wanted to explore. :c

I get off in like an hour and a half if anyone is playing I'll be there! in game name's Marley just fyi so be on the lookout :')

I'll be there, cause that should be when the paintbrush releases, and I gotta give that a go!

Also, can someone explain Chargers to me? Their shooting area makes absolutely no sense. The scope aims like over there but somehow I get splatted? Like not even aiming anywhere near me? Then one time I was splatted from behind or something? I really do not understand how that works.

People intentionally aim somewhere else and then turn to hit you. It's so you don't run from their line of sight, and can't predict where they'll hit. S:

GG's guys! Gamepad's dying so I'm taking a break.

If you're shot and it was nowhere near you, lag, I guess.

They're just long range and paint a really long line. It's also usually a 1-shot kill if it's charged.

Yea, this as well. I usually paint a line either side of somebody if I can't hit them so they can't run away quickly, especially if they're hiding behind something.

I'm pretty sure it had to be lag since it was like completely out of the blue. The one from behind was after I splatted someone using a charger too.

That room was laggy af though. I think it was Jingle who had the roller that kept on going even after I splatted him. xD

I've noticed you -and others- do this. :P I've taken to just hiding behind those large crates in walleye and waiting until I see you move now.

My lag resolved after a while, but I did have some abhorrantly laggy games at the start with that group. Though yeah, one of the last games I played I was being shot at and then kept going only for it to tell me you shot me a bit later when we were miles apart. xD

Paint brush releases in an hour and 25 minutes.

Another update already? Ugh. Just in time for the stages to switch too.

I was having some pretty bad lag too. There were long periods where nothing was registering and I even DC'd that one time. Yeah I hate when it does that! That and when you splat someone and then like 20 seconds later, "splatted ____!"

I really hope they do use that as one of the future maps, seems like a map I'd personally enjoy ;u; Not quite sure what the future maps are going to be xD But there's some in single player mode other than the greenhouse-type one that would probably be nice. (Well at least the octoling ones, bc the other ones are obviously not do-able) Enjoy single player mode though, it was fun for me c:

That's partly why I paint the lines on the 'exits' when people hide ;D

I can carry on killing other people and keep an eye on the lines to make sure you haven't painted over and left. A lot of the time people will just paint over rather than jump over them, especially if I've made it two lines thick :3

Though I only do it with the faster charging ones. If I did it with the slower ones you could run away after I've shot.

According to a post from GameFAQs, how much the online session will lag seems to depend on who appears on the top of the player list of the room you're in. If someone has a bad Internet Connection and manages to be the 1st player, that online session is going to be hit detection failure galore.

It might seem to coincide with my yesterday matches being laggy, but I'm still unsure if that's really the case.

Well than lucky I was always at the bottom ^^ It's not me

i might use it

I'm pree sure the greenhouse was used in an image somewhere. Is Port Mackerel a stage somewhere in single player?

xP Good strategy, 'cept I usually flick ink out as a sensor before leaving anyway. ~ I've notice some people then panic shoot and I'll attempt to leave on their recharge.
