The box is so glitchy, especially near walls. People keep getting shoved everywhere and just now I think someone got clipped because when I got KO'd the camera got glitched into the box.

Omg rollers are useless we just completely obliterated the other team because we could hide behind the little poll.
 
Omg I just had the best game of tower control. We were very evenly matched and it turned out to be very close. My whole team died and I was hiding behind the pole on the tower and I got us to the end :blush:

Won two games in a row! We had the whole team with bubbles on top of the tower at one point :3
 
Yeah that pole is wonky. I survived like 5 flicks from a roller on the other side of the tower because I was directly behind the poll, then I managed to splat him out, plus I was also able to block a bunch of other ink shots from Splattershots just by hiding as a squid.
 
Lol I just got 15 kills and 12 deaths and still won :3 I was actually the top player so I got 3100 points
 
I keep getting like 12-17 kills but NEVER WIN. I've played 7 games but haven't won a single one. I'm so done. -_-
 
We were in overtime and 1 point away which is worth like 1/3 of a second and they somehow took it. :|


But omg this is just too crazy it's so fun.
 
Dang, I didn't really read much for tower control besides watching a small part of it on stream yesterday, but I didn't know it was meant for rank battles only. I wanted to play it for fun..but don't feel like wasting my A- on a mode that people don't entirely know how to play yet including me. Been watching my sister play it tho, seems fun nonetheless :p
 
The delayed kills are so real in this mode. You'll kill someone and climb on the tower,
"HAHAHA looks like I'm-" *splat*

Best abilities for this mode imo: Ink Saver (Sub), Ink Recovery Up, Defense Up. Too bad I don't have anything decent with these... Splat Bombs are apparently required as well.

I'd say burst bombs and suction bombs are more useful.

Burst could KO people on the tower without giving them time to move, while suction could force them to jump down or get splat.

From what I've seen, mines are pretty useless. On the tower, you just jump off and you're completely fine, on the ground;the tower runs it over and nothing happens.

And with rollers, they're either really bad and the pole blocks everything, or they're really good and you can splat everyone on the tower from the air.
 
Suction could be another pro strat considering yeah it forces everyone off. Not too sure about Burst Bombs though because they're weaker and it takes 2-3 to kill someone.

Earlier I threw a Splat Bomb that ended up killing three people at once, leaving one lone member on the tower... who I then proceeded to kill. xD

Rollers are quite useful from what I've seen, they always seem to be on top of things... especially those Gold Dynamos.

I can't decide if I want to buy a wii u to play Splatoon. I'll have the money in about a week or so.
 
I dont know if I like it.. I really like it as a concept but some weapons such as a blaster are so OP in this. This being because you can't dodge theblast from a blaster when you're on the tower..
 
Ok I tryed this mode a couple of times, my team weren't using superjumps at all (ﾉಥ益ಥ）ﾉ ┻━━━┻
Whenever I got ontop of the tower I'd place an ink mine so if I was killed by the other team, they'd die immediately afterwards unless they jumped off the tower in time.
 
I'm seriously in love with this mode. I've won every game I have played so far :D
 
Is this game worth it? I would like to buy it, but then again, there's Fallout 4 and thousands of Steam games I would like to buy as well.

I also won a giveaway on Instagram for Splatoon and all 3 amiibos, and I never received the prize. It's been about 4 weeks.

So yeah, is this game worth it?
