Splatoon Splatoon: Favourite and least favourite maps?

My favorite is Saltspray Rig. My least favorite is probably Blackbelly Skatepark. It gives snipers a nice perch and it's not as easy to use rollers on when I have it equipped.

OKAY, if you thought the Skatepark was bad in Splat Zones, Port Mackerel is WAY WORSE. It took like 4 minutes and 30 seconds just for 1 team to take control of both bases for the FIRST TIME that match. If somebody can get their timer down to 0 on that map, I congratulate you.

I like the mall & warehouse the best
But my least favorite is port mackerel now.. I can't even explain why. It probably doesn't help that for the last day that was all that was ever picked, but still not the type of map I enjoy.

I still haven't played it ranked yet. Are the zones in the 2 more open areas? Does seem like that would be difficult, if both areas are wide open and too far apart. Atleast Bellyback provides some shelter and a point that overlooks both areas.

My favorites are Saltspray Rig and Arowana Mall. Nice sniping spots and overall good in ranked battles. Blackbelly Skatepark and Walleye Warehouse are my least favorite because it seems like unless your team is dominating you can say goodbye to any hope of winning. Rollers run rampant in Warehouse and navigating is impossible in Skatepark if the other team has control of the central tower (which they always do).

Blackbelly is probably my favorite. Urchin Underpass and Port Mackerel I seem to get really often and they're starting to get a bit boring, but I don't think any of the stages are actually bad.

I don't like Arowana Mall, it's so narrow that it's difficult to get a game where one team doesn't immediately get an advantage bc they have snipers

I like Blackbelly Skatepark and the bigger maps in general, it's fun to just zoom off on ur own in the corner of the map haha

My favorite? Probably Blackbelly Skatepark. The small map size and lack of potential chokepoints means it's very easy to have lots of action all the time.

Least favorite? Arowana Mall is pretty imbalanced in Splat Zones mode since it's so easy for snipers to camp the ledges around the one and only zone (and guard them, too!). Walleye Warehouse sorta has the same problem, but at least in that case, it's very possible to shoot down the snipers, especially when they stand on their side's box.

Considering blackbellies, walleyes, urchins, and mackerels are all real animals, I imagine the arowana is also an animal; that is, every map is named after an animal (except maybe Saltspray, idk). The name is unintentionally close to being pronounced as a green maple leaf, however...

Yea but I remember Snake eating them and being all like "This is delicious!" in his husky man voice.


Which also taught me something that AC hasn't. Not only are arowana a fish, they're also delicious (apparently)!

I thought they weren't really edible, (I think this is even mentioned in AC at some point?) And aren't they endangered? ~ Saying that though half the endangered species are precisely because they're delicious so maybe this isn't a point.
