Spent an evening island-hopping, and it's a damn scam

I've been on over 150 trips and I saw Marina exactly 6 times; on the 5th time I took her home and sold her, 5 minutes later I see her again for the 6th time Other tier 1s that I saw were Diana (kept her), Whitney, Fang, and Molly.

Using this tier list, I think the more popular ones (tiers 1 and 2) seem rare because there are 41 of them compared to the 256 tier 5 and 6 villagers, so statistically you're more likely to run into the less popular villagers.

Sold Erik and just got Audie (One of my dreamies!) on my first island

i have set aside 150 tickets (acquired from trading tips) to get my dreamies and went on an island tour. i got raymond on my 4th trip, audie on around 25th, and judy on 91st.

i’ve met zucker like 8-10x that i almost adopted him. lol.

Only used 6 tickets, because I found Hopper randomly and I really wanted to invite him. I kinda like him.

But otherwise I found Flurry, Bunnie and Fauna, which are popular. And that’s only with 6 Tickets. BUT, I encountered Flurry and Olaf twice now, so I’m sure that some villagers showing up more often.

Damn straight. If Nintendo wanted to sell amiibos they'd start producting amiibos again, and then get rid of the NMT villagers, and campsite villagers.

But those three only account to 6 trips, so who was in the other 24? They will prioritize villagers of certain personalities you're lacking in.

It's random and you just had bad luck. In my first week, I found my Beau, Merengue, Fauna, Dobie, Sherb and Skye. I was pretty pleased!

RNG is a jerk. I've been playing AC for years, and made a ton of friends on twitter from being an avid cycler from NL days. My last dreamie is Raymond, and even after 1400 (yes, thousand. Not a typo) trips from a crowdfunded campaign (lol), I haven't seen him...

I feel your pain. Yesterday I spent 15 tickets before I found someone I could even tolerate, which was Ruby. And I've made a list of 120 villagers I wouldn't mind having on my island. Nope. Not a single one. I found the likes of T-Bone, Limberg, Stu, Harry, Bubbles, Beardo, Rodney and Quillson all in a row. I literally was about to give up and cave in for a random move-in until I saw those beautiful white ears. I've never been happier to see Ruby, even if she's my third peppy.
