I am curious to know how many of you, likely with a second town but not necessarily, have towns that are built around a specific species of animal, or even pairings from certain ones to go together. Am just curious to see how many people do this, or even made an effort to move the villagers you already had to put them together. How many of you have species themed towns, or town themes that required specific villagers to build around. I am in the middle of trying to get my last dreams, which has been a long process and am seeing the finish line, but of the ones I have now that I have a second machine I can use am thinking of trying to move a few of my favorite species types together where it is possible, exs wolves, deer, or sheep which I am only missing two of.

Has anyone done this and been really happy after all the work or done it and found they wished they hadn't messed around trying?. Your stories always help me, and it's interesting to hear what others have done and tried just in general as far as NL, so it doesn't have to be specifically this, but if you have a theming story or are in the middle of trying to do this or thinking about it. Pros and cons you have run into, what if any is your theming quest or story...if you have one that is.

I have a hamster town and dog town. I had so much fun doing this. It wasn't as hard to achieve as I thought it would be. Thanks to all the good people with cycling towns. If I ever do another town, I think I would do all squirrels.

I have an all dog town. It was easy to get them and I've had them forever. I love them all!

I have an all cat town because I really love cats in real life. There are villagers of other species I like, but it was easier for me to pick my 10 favorite cat villagers than pick my 10 favorite villagers overall out of the hundreds available. Getting all of my dreamies was somewhat difficult because I had to look for some villagers in the lower tiers by necessity, but I managed after a few months to get everyone I wanted. If there is one species you are really fond of, then you should do it.

I don't have a single-species town, but I think it's a cute idea! I do have Zucker and Marina in my town, though :) When I get another cartridge I might do this!

Thanks for all the responses, and glad to see I inspired someone to try this..my big issue right now is of the towns I currently have I realized I have a fair number of the species I want to do towns on then looking I have a fair number of other similars spread around ie horses, and some random dreams that I'm not letting go, and a then a kind of mix of in betweens.I like but don't love or am not sure how they would fit right now. And still some dreams to get though they mostly mix in with current small groups am finishing.

I have a main town my original and I don't want to tear it apart but may need it to be one of my species towns due to the dreaded 16 cycle but it's also where I put those I lost so I have one town where I first found TBT and I lost a lot of loves to being stupid had to get them back in main so it has so many that can't go back there dreams or really one ...I just want to and can't put my deer because I don't remember how many need to go until Diana my first mistake can go there again from main. Then when I would get a new town and a duplicate of a type I had I traded like a wolf can't go there, ect. I have a town set for the sheep that should be easiest then pick up last two. It was going to be really easy until Skye boxed up with no ping in my town set for wolves where deer can't go because I was already planning this and moved Erik, sigh throwing me off.

Thanks for the vent, I think it will be easier than I think, my friends are just relocating, may start a hold before permanently outing anyone after Winnie and Katt who I can't even give, Pecan and Filbert are in the air, just need to put people in a hold seperate from new town then if it turns a cycle it does but a lot of space should open for change just by starting.

I've been wanting to make a sheep village for ages but I haven't because there's no cranky, jock, or lazy sheep villagers. It bugs me when I don't have at least one villager of every personality type in town.

If I didn't love so many different villagers, I'd probably do an all species town! I don't know what animal I'd pick, though ;n;

Horses or Deer, I think. Though all Deer or all Bear would be cute for a forest town!

My town is difficult to describe haha. It's just a bunch of themes put together..like the train station and town hall have been renovated to the fairy tale theme as well as my house exterior, so I made my paths a similar pastel/cute color as well as the flowers I use. Due to the fact that the fairy tale renovations were the only ones I actually liked, I changed my villager theme to pastel/cute villagers. In other words, since my town hall and house are on the same half of my town as the train station, everything on that upper half of the town is pastel themed and has a "city" feeling

I am still finishing off my final dreams, so am needing to make spaces anyway and one more town to get them all in, in case. I will be happy just to have that accomplished, as have been trying nine months but having more spaces open will help so really looking at by now I know my true dreams I have and those still need, just need to update finalized list. But looking through who I already have where and where to make space I thought I may as well go ahead and try to put the ones I have of a type together while I'm moving around anyway.

I have towns with no jocks, some with too many of one type, it just ended up that way trying to get my dreams, so I'm not so worried anymore on every type in town as the non species catch towns and new editions and the last town should straighten it out. I have been on dream quest forever now, and I see the light at the end of the tunnel but there has to be room for them so, it's making me really look hard at who has overstayed non perm dreams or isn't working. If in the process I end up with a couple species towns I think I will be really happy when it's all done, so I think it's worth it. Now just gotta get on the space making and getting the finals goal since doing both at once or can move them later if one ends up in wrong place temp it should be ok. Has been about long quest trying to get the final dreams and now just gotta make the space and do some moving.

I think the change around of villager placement in older towns may spur some new energy there like my completed original, the atmosphere may not fit the species but I can always in my one complete town change some pwps. Really I think once I finish my last dreams in and move some together while I go I will be happier in the end. And if I don't need the extra gifted hold cart after I just enjoy being done and playing with my finished dreams (so can't wait to say, am done seeking). Then maybe after a bit can do a cycle but not sure on that yet, I do like to play, right now just outing one by one fast for space of non dreams, but not sure how much fun it would be to do that for long, I would like help others when I finish because will be counting on some help here to find last dreams and adopt or trade out my last leavers, but if it's not for me I can always use that to try to meet new animals and do a long term befriend them all quest, but likely when done will use the extra as a cycle unless want an all new since all dreams will be had just random see who comes and friend them all town like in old days and keep it how it comes, but likely will attempt a cycle to give back at some point when this is done. I was trying to get it done quicker but got overwhelmed then sick so took a week off but back to getting it done soon I hope. I never had enough space before for some finals when they came up real quick but while working out the move around I think it should be easy if I can find them all, need to make sure always have a spot in all places so don't miss anyone, doing that now, sadly may be voiding some or letting go but I already listed out who will be leaving so once space is made and moving together makes more open space I won't miss another dream while offline, I hope as will know where they go. Just need to update finals list. Will hopefully if really work at it, be able to update done and happy someday soon, man I hope sooner than later.
