yyeah i was thinking about this and the only thing (except for design and stuff lmao) that i could come up with that is specific to one species in this game is that the frogs don't use umbrellas in the rain?
can anyone else come up with any more times when a species is different than the others ? :>

that's a good question, off the top of my head i can only think of the frogs not using umbrellas as well. i'm also curious to see what people have come to realize.

I didn't realize frogs didn't use umbrellas when it rained (never had a temp or permanent frog villager- during rain and in general). This is interesting! My villagers in my first town are mostly cats, I'll have to keep my eyes peeled (so far they like to sleep, a lot lol always caught Felicity sleeping on a bench, stump or standing up but not sure how species related that is).

The cats in my town spend a lot of their time outside carrying their fishing rods or fishing, a lot more than villagers of other species. I don't know if this is species-specific either.

The only other species-specific thing I can think of is the female kangaroos carrying their joeys.Al of the other species specific things in the game are of a physical nature and not particular to the game like pigs having curly tails and ducks having triangular-shaped webbed feet.

Goats can have goat pets, they will say that they are not easy-going pets to keep though LOL!!!!

LOL I really hope Chevre tells me that. I have a feeling it might be a uchi thing, though, not a goat thing since you have Pashmina.

About the cats.. Cats sleep a lot and stereo-typically like fish (though irl it may not be good to feed a cat too much seafood)..

Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, the fishing more and sleeping more sound like cat specific things to me. :] I did notice cat villagers fishing a lot and always thought that was cute.. I have a little kitty like that irl..

Birds and gorillas have different footprints. You can see it when they are at the beach or when they are walking on the snow. :)

Don't all the species have thier own unique footprints? or are the birds and gorillas even more unique? {I have neither in my town}

Oh, really? I've never noticed that. :)
Anyway, the footprints of the gorillas look like human footprints. :)

I'm not sure if this is a bird thing or just a coincidence, but when Amelia wanted to move away in December, she said that winter puts her in a migrating mood.

depending on the personality and species, whenever you talk to them, the town tune will be different...

for example Fang and Freya's versions are similar but the pitches are different because Fang is a Cranky and Freya is a Snooty

I have 2 wolves in my town and at least from my standpoint Kyle and Chief get in fights all the time. Maybe thats just luck

In my town, Punchy gets along very poorly with Daisy, Midge and Moose- I'm wondering if it has anything to do with species, since he's a cat, and they're a dog, bird and mouse, respectively :P

I swear that the penguins, when they move to your town, always put their houses near ponds or the river. It has happened twice to me so far.

I know and that's why I mentioned the fishing. I don't know about gazea9r but I assume she knows sleeping a lot is a cat stereotype thing and mentioned it because of that.

The point is that I don't know if those are species-specific things in the game like the frogs not carrying umbrellas. It could just be a coincidence that my cat villagers fish so much compared to the rest or that gazea9r's villagers sleep so much.

No, the other species just make circle or oval shaped footprints, the only difference is the size. Birds and gorillas have a different footprint shape, maybe because they also have different feet.

I think eagles and ostriches have different footprints too (unless you're counting them as birds).

Isn't this completely unique to each individual villager?

This isn't really species specific but I keep my town for my 5 little squirrels I have in town to peek their heads above XD
