Spawning mushrooms

Hi everyone!! I was just wondering if there was a trick or some sort of way to get more mushrooms to spawn. I only found 3 mushrooms yet I have a lot of trees.

There's 2 more hidden somewhere because you get 5 each day.

They spawn in dirt, grass, or underground (rare), so make sure you've got room around each tree for one to populate.

They will not spawn around fruit trees, or if you have too many flowers, cement paths, patterns, or pieces of furniture surrounding a tree. As long as you have some free trees, you should be getting 5 per day. Rare mushroom are buried in the ground near trees and count toward the 5.

They'll also spawn around stumps, make sure there's some free spaces around those too.

Thanks so much everyone!! I didn't know there was only 5, I'll keep searching. I'll have to clear some of my paths too. Maybe that's why I can't find many.

I remember reading that rare mushrooms are more likely to spawn if you have a 4-5 star island. They tend to spawn near trees as an X mark you have to dig up. The higher your island's rating the more likely the x near the tree will be a rare mushroom instead of a fossil.

1-3 stars, they're very rare. 4 and 5 stars, they're rare. I have a 5-star island, and found 2 in 2 days.

The recipes are a pain to find.

Omg the recipes are impossible to find it seems. I've only got the mushroom wreath and it's only because Isabelle gave it out. :/

I'm down to needing only three, but that's because I farmed balloons a good portion of the day Monday and Tuesday. Hoping to get the other three today.

Yep. Nabbed the final three this morning. 2 were in green balloons, and the last one was in a yellow balloon.

There are no mushrooms on nook mile islands. you can only get 5 mushrooms each day on your island.

you also only need 1 rare mushroom don't need anymore then that only recipe that uses it is forest floor
