My 2nd town is going to be space-themed, but the only space-themed villager i can think of is Octavian, based on his house.

I think Filbert and Ruby have space houses, Ruby is even based on the Rabbit on the Moon.

Octavian = tentacle monster
Chevre = bright side of the moon
Nan = dark side of the moon
Kid Cat = astronaut buddy

Should the remaining spots be my choice of villagers, or should it stay space-themed?

Maybe Ruby? I know that her house was space-themed in other Animal Crossing games, although I'm not sure if it still is in New Leaf.

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned Naomi, but every time I see her I always think she is an alien. Plus, she is a cow. Aliens love abducting cows according to myth. I think it's just a perfect fit for the whole space theme. Her house is an entirely different story, though.
