Hello Everyone! I have been playing Animal Crossing for such a long time (Since Gamecube) and I wanted to share just some things that I find many people have issues with. You (whomever reads this) may know it all but others (newer to the game looking for help) may not. I have been trying to post things, secrets, hints, in a few places and I would love to hear comments of if it happens to you, and if these where helpful (Or just interesting). This will be a little bit long so it is ok if you don't read it, or want to read all of it. I just know if I knew any of this before I starting playing I may of chose a little different way to play (these 'tips' are from me just playing the game). I will also do a post on just some fun secrets and very helpful tips for those who played for quite sometime!
Starting out:
Choosing a town, and a house is alway the hardest choice. Yet putting the house in a place where you always pass (Center of town) is much more efficient, though keep in mind the Train Station (And eventually after you unlock it the Museum) will have storage areas to drop off your goods (These will all be connected).
Try paying off your tent ASAP, fruit and fish (A rod is the #1 thing to buy) will get you there very quickly.
Don't worry about buying a watering can, your assistant will give you one after you plant flowers for her.
Don't sell anything to the Nooklings Shop, Retail is where you'd get the most money
The Bell Ordinance (All Ordinances are 10,000 bells) is great, after you are mostly done buying what you need. Make sure you don't put it in effect too early or you will waste a lot of bells just buying simple things (Yet later on after you unlock the island you make a lot more money, and can sell furniture to Animals for a lot more)
Talking to Animals may be obvious to do, and it is very important! You will learn helpful tips, KK Slider Songs, visitors in the Town (At least until you get a police station), and the latest news.
Most people say to buy as much stuff from Nooklings and The Able Sisters to get the stores larger, this may be a good idea but it will cost a lot of bells. Slower pace always worked well for me, and it does not take very long to get the bigger stores just playing normally.
The second floor of the Museum is one of the best places to unlock, since any furniture, clothing, bugs/fish, etc you can't fit into your home or storage can go there. It will cost 10,000 Bells to open each one, but the space is great to have.
Donate everything to the Museum (Instead of selling), it unlocks a lot of cool items including the Sliver Series of Tools
After you unlock the Island you will get a lot more money, and rare items.
Here is some helpful Island (Tips!)
-Morning and Night seem to have a lot more sharks then midday (at least in my game) at night or when it is raining (about 9pm after I get home from work) I catch about 6-8 Sharks. During the day I catch about 4. This always changes but that is my experience
-Before you go to the island check out Retail! They have a sign outside saying what they are paying 'premium' for, this means double priced. Bringing back this item if the Island has it can score you a ton of bells (Especially sharks, Marlin, large fish, and higher priced bugs).
-My Rule: Never bring back Sea Bass, for the price they are not worth it.
-Fill up the whole return box before leaving the island! You will be surprised how much more you get for just a few extra items
-If you are not catching anything good, go on a few tours! Then come back, it usually works well for me.
-Don't buy Flowers in your town, just go on the gardening tour you can win metals and extra flowers in your bag will stay in your bag (This rule also applies toward fruit during the tours! Shake trees you can bring back Mangos, Lemons, Lychee, or even Durians.) This will save you a ton of money, fill your town with flowers, and the fruit you bring back will be worth quite a lot.
Great Tips!
When starting a public work project: Chose the location wisely having an extra bridge will be very helpful if in the right place, having the cafe' or the police station close by other buildings will be easier to access.
Always go to the beach, and the Plaza everyday. Redd, Gracie, Katrina, will be in the Plaza. Gulliver will wash up on the beach.
Seashells can be worth big $, some up to 2500 Bells.
This tip is everywhere but just in case: Don't buy medicine if an animal is sick, or you get a bee sting! Just go, get stung and talk to everyone in town one Animal will give you Medicine.
Unlocking ClubLOL is easy, Shrunk will come to your door one day and ask you to get a few people to sign a petition to open the club. The best part is coming in during the day, you unlock emotions which doing around other Animals will cause them to react in a couple different ways. (These emotions can also be used on many of the store owners! and the Kapp'n family!
VERY IMPORTANT: Fruit can be bundled in groups of 9, and you can see them at Retail as a recycled item to even make more money off it
-Well those are the basic ropes, I skipped over a few things but hopefully these tips can help New and Old Animal crossing players! Thank you for reading down here since you did I will tell you something very special: You rock! and I like your hair did you do something different with it? Ah, new conditioner that would explain it.
