That becoming an adult isn't like passing some magical threshold that automatically gives you magical insight into being a perfect adult- the adults around you don't know as much as you think they know, and you aren't inherently a lesser person just for being young. And that you actually have to work to develop skills for adult life, you don't just pick them up magically.
