Maybe this is just me, but I find it really hard to actually get attached to "dreamies" and such. For example, I've wanted Coco since I first learned of her existence. I love to collect Gyroids and I thought having a normal little gyroid bunny would be nice. Sure, I like her a lot, but I don't feel as attached to her as I have Sally, Lily, or Skye. I feel like this is because I set my expectations high for her.

She lives off to the side along with Ricky above the cafe in PixelsV2. I don't... do a lot around there. That side of town is really underdeveloped and I only run through there to quickly grab some flowers or to get to Eugene's house easier. She's hardly anywhere but there. I like Ricky more and I never wanted him and if anything he's a nuisance!

I also noticed the problem when I was about to let Lily move out. I have 2 normals currently in PixelsV2: Lily and Coco. I thought to myself... who do I like more? The one who I have stories with and find quite pleasant, or the rabbit I paid for and has probably 0 soul? Clearly the frog.

I guess its just really funny to think that yeah, I love the designs of characters more than others, but its a lot more fun to just get whoever to move in. The only other "dreamie" I have is Rasher whom I've had before and would fit the aesthetic of Alleyway too well for me not to get him.

This is a long post holy. But like... have you guys ever had someone you felt like you weren't attached to but were and vice-versa? I wanna see if this is just me or not.

Yeah, I liked Ricky more than I thought and I've become obsessed with the sheep xD

As for villagers that I eventually came to not like as much.. probably most of the wolves because they are honestly pretty bland.. also Chai. I love her items and got her card for that but as a villager, nah.

When you all boil it down, they all have the same personality. Even if you go by the different types, jock, snooty, cranky, ect, they're really not all that different. They all act overly friendly compared to the previous games. So it's just down to who you like more design wise.

Yeah Leopold is my #1 fav villager but I don't act like it at all in the game.

I think it's prob because I realize that he's just a video game character who has the same personality as many other smug villagers... though idk because I've become attached to quite a few VG characters. Maybe if there's a new AC game that'll change.
(In a different sense though, I like to draw him a lot and I've actually used him in one of the AC fanfics I've written, so yeah I still like him the most).

I agree with the idea of just letting people move in, but I've really let my dreamies grow on me and now I don't want any of them to leave. I feel like my town would feel really different if someone left and I just don't have time for that xD

Yeah I hate how bland they are, and lazy and uchi are the most annoying ones ever... I just keep a lazy now til I get the darn jungle gym pwp sigh.

It's honestly funny how you say that. Yeah, it is really easy to become friends with them. Yeah, they're all the same personality. But that doesn't stop me from getting extremely attached to one cranky villager as opposed to another. Plus, sometimes they just do random things, like the time Lily pinged me as I was getting stung by bees, that make them important to you. It doesn't always have to do with design.
