since the update, we got so many cool things & even though i complain a lot about wanting a few more villager slots, i was thinking there was one more thing i wish they changed: the ability to see your secondary characters wandering around town like in dreams or just idle in their houses would've been nice o:

it would've added some life to the game, which i feel the lack thereof becomes more apparent once the glitz of "oooh, shiny! new!" wears off. why has my second character been gone forever? well, it feels like they don't really add anythig to my game? XD i mostly added their house since i had a plot of land i wanted another house to occupy D:

OMG I 100% agree with you! I've actually been incredibly disappointed that I can't see my secondary characters walking around :( Like why can they walk around in dream towns but not regularly..? It would make the town seem more populated. Nintendo missed an opportunity. It would have been so easy for them to add that :(

ikr! o: the town is just so empty at times - even when you max out pwps ;n;

i'd also like to know why i can't get into harvey's home since he essentially carved out a path on my land XD

I would have loved that! And it would have made my town theme even better to have them wondering :(

it also bugs me that i cant choose where houses plot. Like im the mayor aren't I? Can't I just be like "sorry man you cant build there, its in the miDDLE OF A ROAD"

Actually they kind of fixed that. Villagers no longer plot on paths, as long as there is a proper space for them to move into that isn't covered with patterns. So you can force villager plots into specifics areas you want them to be in! :)

I never really thought about this idea, but I like it! This idea would potentially entice me to create new characters/new houses when I haven't or wouldn't otherwise.

Seriously? I had no idea! Thank you so much!

I think I would've liked it, but it might've offended some people, I guess. If they had introduced such a feature, they probably would have had to add some sort of dialogue, and if the person is someone you share the game with in real life, then it'd just seem stupid if their in-game personality didn't match up with their actual personality. Unless you just have them say their TPC phrase, like in dreams, but then it would seem sort of stupid to just have them walking around...

Well tbh most alt characters are actually being used by the mayor person for patterns or storage. The amount of people who actually share a game is not very many (especially since only the mayor truly can experience the game to it's full potential). I was thinking that the other alt characters could be given the same animations as the animals, such as shaking trees and carrying tools, etc. It's not a feature we want so we could talk to them, but more because it would make the town feel more alive and actually include the other characters that we've made that we might love but don't play as often.

Also, if someone was sharing the game and the avatars were controlled by different people, I doubt it would be important that their characters reflect who they are in real life. It's only a game after all.

oh yes I want this too I have lots of fake shops but no one is in them and putting manequin is so weird...

I really hate the mannequins to replace people so allowing your alt characters to wander around town would be nice. Like they would in a dream they could just say their info/comment in their description, they wouldn't even need dialogue. Idk I sometimes wonder where the alt characters go when we're playing :'D

i honestly think this is a nonproblem? like in dream towns, they would just say what's on their tpc card for dialogue. o: that would be it. just take them from only being seen in dream towns and put into your actual town. they don't even have to be wandering the towns or shops - like i wrote, being idle in the house would be nice since otherwise it's just an empty house. ):

This would've been an awesome idea! it would make it seem more lively in your towns. Plus putting mannequins in houses to make it seem like they're lived in is weird to me. I would have loved to see this implemented! I'm sure dialogue wouldn't be an issue either. They could've added a little quiz to see what "personality" you are like snob or uchi or peppy and just give you're secondary character those dialogue lines. More people to talk to!
