Someone's going to get a hurting REAL bad!

WHY!!! Why would someone do this? Someone played on my DS and reset my clock!
I wasn't even paying attention when I logged into my game because this is the game that I do not TT on so I just zoomed past the opening speech with Isabelle. My first thought was wow... where did all the weeds come from and then I noticed that every Hybrid was gone. Every single one. A money tree I had planted just yesterday was fully grown. In horror I shut off the game but it was too late. I had logged in on my Mayor and couldn't reverse the damage. It was only when I told Isabelle that I needed to set the time that I found out I was 3 years in the future. I don't know if it's my systems clock that was reset or my game but why would someone do this?

I'm looking at the bright side. It was only yesterday that I turned down a move request, so no one was in boxes - but you can be danged sure that I'm going to be talking to everyone until I'm confident that no one is planning on moving out.

The very worst part is that there are no "children" in this house. There were none visiting on the weekend so that means it had to be a supposed adult that touched it when I was at work. I never thought that I'd have to hide my games from people over the age of 20 in my own home but until I find out who it was that touched my game ( or system if that's the case ) without asking I'll make sure to put it away.

Hybrids can be re-grown I know - does anyone know a way of ensuring that when I play tomorrow Isabelle won't tell me that one of my dreamies is moving.

Oh my goooosh what a nightmare. DX How awful. Who could have done this? An accident maybe? Someone who wanted to try out the game and was ashamed to tell you they did something bad if they realized?

If you need any help cleaning up the weeds feel free to ask... I hope you can regain all your hybrids too.

I don't know if you can prevent move outs tomorrow... I'm assuming no one will be in boxes tomorrow since you only played 2 days since the accident? (counting the TT back). So you should still be able to stop potential movers.

That's awful! I'm sorry that happened to you and hopefully it was just someone curious about your game and made a mistake.
If you need help with weeds, let me know, I can help! As well as hybrids, I know I have some you can have for getting started again
And I have no idea about the villagers.

I'm sorry this happened to you, I can help with weeds and I can give you some blue roses if you want <3 I don't have a lot but enough to give you so you can breed If you need help with anything please let me know!

try saving and quitting and see if anyone pings you, do it a few times and if nobody is saying they are moving you should be fine!

Oh wow, that's terrible. Sorry to hear that. You can easily figure out which clock was changed by checking the date on your 3DS homescreen. If it doesn't match up with today's day and date, then the system clock was changed. This also means it's possible that whoever did this wasn't actually interested in the game, but just the system.

Either way, touching such expensive stuff without permission isn't cool.

I can borrow some hybrids from my daughter's game and water the heck out of them so I can replace the originals back. The weeds are annoying, but strangely help me calm down as I pluck them.... grrr still seething a little..... but it's the villagers I'm most worried about.

I am calming down as we speak. I can't count how many times I've counseled my kids not to get angry at a computer game... because it's just a game. I went here to vent because the members of this community would at least have an understanding of my horror so I could spout off about it and not get blank stares.
I think it was more-so that someone had played without permission. I'll just have a word with all parties that were present and explain that if they want to explore my game I'd be happy to show them how to do so safely.

To avoid losing flowers from neglect, put up the Beautiful Town ordinance so you don't have to water your hybrids.

I was growing golden roses... kinda the theme of my town, money grows on trees, golden roses everywhere, four leaf clovers etc. ... well there's another bright side.... at least golden roses don't wilt. I'm not sure I would have been able to recover if all my golden roses had disappeared.

That's awful someone would do that >.< If you do need any help with hybrids I really don't mind helping by giving you some, I have extra hybrids on my beach that aren't being used. And its good that gold roses don't wilt, I'm growing them on my second town also

I'm so sorry this happened but glad to see you did not lose one of your dreamies. I have told my teen grandchildren to ask before they pick up my DSs. I hope you can get to the bottom of who did this at least for your information of reasons why. I'm not far along enough in the game to help you with hybrids and golden roses but if I remember correctly the gr never wilts. Best wishes to you as your work to get your town back in order.

In my pseudo-cycling town, when someone has pinged and I have asked them to stay...I jump a year ahead to guarantee another pinger. In your case, on the day you loaded it 3 years ahead, it's guaranteed that the game will have decided someone is "thinking about moving", but that gives you 5 days before they are in boxes...And if you put the time *back* 3 years, that just counts as one of those days. So yes, you should find the pinger, but I don't think you will end up with anyone in boxes tomorrow.

Unless whoever changed the time, played a few days ~ but I doubt that is the case.

When I'm worried that a villager may be moving, and I'm not getting any move out pings....I talk to every villager at least 5 times.If none of them mention that someones moving, then I don't worry about it.So far so good.And I almost always get a move out ping the next day.

Sorry to hear that. The Beautiful Ordinance would protect your flowers though and prevent weed growth.
