If neither of your parents are particularly Internet-savvy I'd keep a regular eye on their social media profiles, such as Facebook. I'd recommend changing their settings so that their posts can only be viewed by friends (not friends of friends or public), and ensure that anyone they decide to add as a friend is someone that they know personally. Also, keeping as little private information on profiles as possible is generally a good idea.

I wouldn't bother calling the cops honestly, but I would inform your parents (seems like you already have?). If it keeps being a thing, definitely inform the cops then as that is stalking and harassment. From what you shard it's just some crazy person thinking they're teaching you cyber security to help you.

This person is just using empty words against you and they won't do anything they say they're gonna do, and even so all they threatened to do was tell your parents to talk to you about internet safety. I mean yes its creepy the whole situation, but literally EVERYTHING is on the internet. I've never really known my real father. Within a couple of clicks and no money paid, I knew his full name, his parents names, his address, his marital records, his income, his job, literally everything. You an do this for really any person. The internet will always be a bad place at one time or another. But it will always be there it will always exist there isn't anything you can really do. Like I said just report and block them and ignore it. Someone earlier said they're just looking to get a rise out of you and that's what I believe too. You know how people always say if your being bullied don't give them the satisfaction of seeing you cry, and if you ignore it they'll get bored and leave oh alone? Treat it like that.

This is so creepy wtf if it happened to me I would faint. I suggest trying to block them, keep your information private (like change facebook settings), and try to stay away from the app for a while. If they keep going somehow, get your parents to do something.
