Some Questions About Villagers ..

I always hear people mention trading/selling/buying/etc. villagers. How does that work? I'm pretty sure that you go to someone's town that has a villager you like, and if you talk to them, they want to move into your town. But I don't know if this is true or not

Also..

1. Let's say that my theory (what I wrote above ^) is true. Does the villager have to be already in the process of moving?
2. If the villager is really good friends with the mayor and stuff, will the villager still want to move?
3. This question is probably going to sound really weird, but what is the average price of villager on TBT? I've seen some go for free, and others going for several million. I really would like to know so that I can get some of my dream villagers at last!

Yes, when you talk to a villager in another town that is packed up, and convince them, they will come to your town.

1. Yes, the villager must be packed up.
2. You can't dissuade them from moving if they are in boxes.
3. Well, a lot of people pay about 100,000, I think (in the Giveaway thread, a villager is given away for free, while in the exchange thread, people pay in bells, items, or other villagers). Correct me if I'm wrong! ^_^
