I'm thirteen (fourteen in six days) and some of my classmates deserve a smack upside the head. Here is what they do:

~ laughing ALL the time (it gets so annoying)
~ yelling stuff in other languages
~ screaming
~ starting stupid fights in class (they always end up hurtling into MY desk, too. -_-)
~ if you're sharing a desk, they sprawl out their elbows so you don't have enough space to write
~ making weird noises
~ challenging to fight anyone who dislikes football (or soccer, if you're from the U.S.)
~ challenging the teacher
~ flicking rubber bands all over the place
~ talking when the teacher tells them not to

When does this end? It's so irritating.

Sounds a bit like my HS. except without the rubber bands part. But that was only because I was in on-grade level classes at the time. All the cool peeps were in the higher tiered classes. So if you can, I guess try to get into those?

Still happens in the more advanced classes. They're just more narcissistic and annoying. All they do in my class is brag, brag, brag. Well, in my school.

Oh gosh, so from what I assume, you're in year 9, correct? :( That was probably one of the worst years at secondary school for me, too... And for pretty much the exact same reasons! People always mucked about, shouted, swore, argued with the teacher, walked out of lessons, had arguments with each other, threw stuff around... I think once in history one boy picked up all the textbooks and hid them on top of the cupboard so we all had to stay behind after school because of that. It feels like they only seem to do that because they're one of the older ones now so it boosts their ego and makes them think they're really cool when they're really the opposite... It was really irritating, and I was so unhappy because I was being bullied along with that too, and I really just didn't feel comfortable in that class of people. I found that going into year 10 and 11 was a bit nicer though because people start maturing a bit more then and they start to work harder because of exams and etc. You'll still get a few people who muck around, but generally it's a lot more calm. I'm sure that will happen with you, too! :) I've left school now since I've done all my GCSEs so thankfully I don't have to put up with my old annoying classmates anymore since I am transferring to another sixth form... but it DOES generally get better the higher up the school you go, so don't worry. :)

People in higher level classes are annoying too lol. People disrespect the teachers a lot and act like they're a lot smarter than they really are. I think high school in general is just an annoying time. Tbh I don't understand why people talking in different languages bothers you (unless it's just the yelling part, which I understand).

Back in high school, I had the same exact problems. I mostly just kept to myself because the obnoxiousness and immaturity of my classmates was overwhelming. Seriously, sometimes I wondered if we were still in elementary school. Probably what bothered me the most was the outright disrespect towards everyone, and the overwhelming sense of entitlement. I am so tired of hearing "the teacher failed me because she doesn't like me." Anyways, I could rant and rave for ages about it. Just like me though, I am sure things will get better and it also helps to surround yourself with people who are similar. That's what I did, because then I didn't have to deal with my other classmates. When it comes to being in the more challenging classes, all of those students act like they are so much better than everyone else. I was in a ton of Advanced Placement and Honors classes, and I am honestly not sure which was worse between these and the regular classes. They are usually less obnoxious, but more snobby I suppose.

Sadly, in my school, the obnoxiousness started in 5th grade, when I was 11. Mostly the guys started trying to get on the 'cool' side and it got so annoying, I just wanted to smack them all and tell them to shut their mouths. It also included the jocks in my class, who all thought they were cool, but they were really just irritating and I'm glad I won't have to see them again when I graduate. It was lots of yelling, drama and I deeply hated it. Besides, people were starting to get in BF/GF relationships. I thought that was so stupid, and I still do.

This happened last year... they pretty much did what you mentioned, plus complained about the work we were given (not much by the way, and we never had hw in that class) This one boy who is the MOST ANNOYING AND RUDE person I've ever met would also "playfully" tease the girl next to me. He would also whip out his cell-phone when we were watching videos in class, and ask "Wanna take a selfie?" Like no I do not want to take a selfie, I just want to listen to the video. -.- He would still proceed to take one. :mad:I would also hear these two boys next to me talk about inappropriate things, and yes, I tried so hard not to listen. Yeah, I'm glad I won't see them next year.

There's is a guy named Steven in my class and he does all of those things! My teacher hates him so much that she lets me slap him when he's doing something wrong. Lol

Sounds just like few of the people in my class last year.. They were shouting bad puns and made weird noises all the time and threw stuff around the class :D Teachers never even said anything about it to them and it was just horrible xD

Wow they sound so immature but i bet i was like that when i was 13 xD. My class is super small so we have 2 people per long talbe and theres a lot of space! (Around 10 students including me for every class) but in 8th grade there was one guy that bugged me quite often. He would always call himself "NathontheSwagger" and he always reminds you of it. He never payed attention in class either, which got the teacher upset, so we were all screwed. But he is also kinda caring but still ugh glad he's gone.

Dont worry i think some of your classmates will get more mature later on...hopefully!

so many stupid people challenging teachers etc.
And then they make fun of me just because im smarter than them.
However as all of them are stupid theyll leave next year, meaning my last 2 years of high school will be idiot free
