Some help deciding on my last few villagers?

Only started on New Leaf prior to NH and even then was very casual about what villagers I had.

Very proud to say I've got this current line-up:

- Judy
- Audie
- Sherb
- Raymond
- Tia
- Merengue
- (Roald is a maybe in the future as a jock for balance)

The other four I feel kinda meh about. (Bill, Marina, Merry, Gruff)

Had an overload of Preppy characters so I'm kinda done with that. Part of me wants Dobie as a cranky, but I'm on the fence.

But is there maybe a character you really like that I may be overlooking that I can talked into? Gonna be basic as heck but I'm not a fan of the "ugly" characters. Hippos and Anteaters are not species I'd go for.

Have access to all the amiibos so getting them won't be an issue.

I don't see much love for Groucho (cranky bear) or Robin (snooty bird), I think they're both cute, and I used to have Robin in Wild World!

Depends on what’s „ugly“ for you, because Taste can be different.

Well, for Cranky I guess there are always the Villagers which just look older, like Del, Boris, Apollo, Walt, Rolf, Gaston, Gonzo.

Sadly I don’t have cards for Gonzo or Boris, but I remember those two from my Gamecube Game and I have a soft spot for those, because they were such great Villagers back then.

For Snooty I don’t know. I think Friga is kinda underrated and overshadowed by almost all other penguins. Same for Tasha and Julia for their species. If you want some variety and rare Villagers.

The most aesthetically pleasing cranky villager is Fang, so I would recommend him. He fits into any island concept. Rudy is a very cute jock character too, I would recommend him. He doesn't look like a jock villager but he talks like one, if you're trying to stray away from the traditional jock villager style.
