Toy Day is coming and you know what that means... The mayor (YOU) dressing up as Santa giving other villagers presents just so you can get a photo of a reindeer who is too lazy to deliver them for you...

Fun, isn't it... Honestly no... So since I got my game last year and at the time didn't bother/know about it... I decided this year I'm STILL not gonna try and get everybody's presents right this time... Except for Wolf Link, Fauna and Opal... Those I'll remember...

Anyone else feel like doing it this year.

Mmm it's really not too awful. I keep a letter in my pouch that I can go in and edit with what each villager wants, so I can easily double check on it. Not to mention Thonky's a pretty handy site too :)

I really like that idea! I actually just keep a piece of paper near my desk with everyone's name and desired gift on it.

I started all three of my towns this year and I have been having fun spamming all 30 of my villagers for clues. I have both clues for 29 of them and just need one more clue for Tank. I love how they shut down with some serious thinking when I chat with them too many times. I am looking forward to Toy Day.

Ohhhh that's smart, never thought of using a letter! I just have a digital sticky note on my desktop with all the clues lol

Toy Day makes me salty. Because when I participated (I time traveled a lot so I celebrated way early), I was under the impression that I had to purchase the gifts & deliver them myself. I put a lot of effort into finding the perfect gifts for those little **** villagers, but then Jingle's punk ass shows up and gives me his crappy picks to deliver instead, so...VERY disappointing. But still, Toy Day's kinda fun anyway. Gathering the clues, I mean.

Jingle's pic is kind of a crappy reward for delivering all of the presents correctly. If anything, the festive wreath should be the reward for getting everything right and Jingle's pic is your reward for trying.

Isn't failing to deliver the presents the only way to get the bag as an accessory?

Yes. Or hacking.

Thanks for reminding me to not bother. I have 5 towns that are in different months to play with on the 25th so it's easy to ignore the **** vilagers and the "punk ass" Jingle.

Aw I quite like Toy Day. Cyrano kept his gift in his house the entire year (until he moved) and I lobe how happy my villagers become when they see Santa. I've got all the holiday decor I want and Jingle's pic so I do it for the fun.

I use the game notes on my daily to keep track of my notes and it works a treat.

I really love Toy Day, I am screenshotting and saving in a notepad on my phone a list of what all my Villagers want, I think it's fun to have a bit of a challenge and I love how cute and excited Villagers get about Toy Day and the snow.

The bag breaks on the next day if you fail to deliver the presents.

I actually like Toy Day since I get to help my villagers and talk to them a lot more than usual. Finding out what gifts they want is pretty fun too. My only issue is that Jingle is a bit of a lazy person in New Leaf (at least he isn't rude unlike in the GCN game, if he ever was rude in that game). I'm actually collecting pictures of the characters and Jingle's is no exception (I don't care if you call it selfie collecting, I'm collecting them because they look nice and are pretty rare). I would agree that the festive wreath and pic of Jingle should be swapped as it seems that a lot of people are complaining for some reason. I would show the list of what my villagers would want but that would take up too much space.

Toy Day is honestly my favorite in-game holiday! :D I love how happy they all get about Jingle coming to town, and I love giving them what they really want.. And sure, all you get is Jingle's picture.. Doesn't change that I wanna make my villagers happy ;)

Oh! I didnt know you could actually keep the bag :O I always try to get all of the villager presents. But I already have Jingle's Pic so maybe I'll purposely fail this year

In order to keep the bag, don't deliver any presents at all. If you deliver all the presents, even if you do it wrong, you'll still lose the bag.

I've never bothered to do it, usually I'm too busy with my family on Christmas Day to start up AC or even feel like it. I think I might make time to do it this year though, I remember last year I even went to all the bother of noting everyone's wishes with the 3DS notepad. I'm guessing it's not a very rewarding event but I've always thought it sounded cute and fun to give everyone their gifts. That's one of my favourite things about Christmas.

I got my 3ds on Christmas of last year, and didn't make my town until the day after. I haven't even played Toy Day on NL yet, so I'm excited to experience it. Also, almost happy birthday Neveland!

Question about this: this is my first Toy Day (never got to actually play it on Christmas day last year).

A few of my villagers have said they want one thing for Toy Day, then I write it down, then a few days later when I talk to them they say they want something different. Is that normal? Will their wanted item actually stay the most recent one? Why they gotta mess me up? :(

There's two different hints for the same item, a colour and an object. It's up to you to figure out each item from the selection Jingle gives you in the bag. :)
