In-game, of course. Are they cool or yuck to you?

Is tanning just too much work for you (daily island trips, the inability to wear any pro designs that show skin [you can wear mine though ])?
Do you just enjoy it during the summer months and then cruise on through the rest of the year pale-skinned?
Do you have to go through the whole time running from place to place and wearing long-sleeved stuff because you'd never be able to live with yourself if you got one?
Do you even care?

Also, as a side question, is anyone tired of every single post in this forum being "Boo hoo, my dreamie moved away" or "Which villager do you like better" or "This villager ruined my town"?

I'm sorry, but there's gotta be other things to talk about besides your butt-forsaken villagers. Great, you like such and such a personality, these are your dreamies and you will love them forever, you want to commit suicide if a dreamie leaves or a bad villager moves in, 90% of the forum accepts Bob as their lord and savior, but isn't there something else we can talk about? Are villagers just the single most important part of the game, that they make up about 3/4 of the threads here? It just seems so... obsessive. There's plenty to talk about regarding them, I know, but you'd think by now we'd have covered about everything there is to say about them. That's all.
If you think I'm a big fat meanie for saying this, well, don't say I didn't warn you, and you are also quite correct; I am, in fact, very mean, and lack a certain amount of empathy most people have.
Oh, and if you're going to say something on this matter I advise that you read the 2nd page of this so as to ensure that you don't bring up a point someone already has.

I hate them just like I do in real life. In-game, I'm going to have to wear a different hat or a gas mask (because it surprisingly looks cool with my clothes) for the rest of the summer because I simply despise tanning. I don't plan on using an umbrella, because switching out for different items isn't fun.

I don't see why anyone would hate them.. Since there is no option to be black in this game, tanning is the only way to get that skin color. So it's pretty stupid if the Animal Crossing tans bother people if their actual skin color is the color of the tan.. =.=
But IRL, it's pretty stupid..

I think Nintendo should just let us choose our skin color at the beginning of the game, and let that be that. I'm not really into tanning.

I like comparing villagers. It's interesting to see what people think, sometimes I'm curious about the opinions of certain users.

i really want a tan but i TT a lot back and forth to get more PWP requests so i can never keep it for too long i hope the skin colour option is available next installment (if there is one)

I personally don't like the tanning because I think they can be a bit hard to maintain, especially if you don't want to go the darkest shade and want to keep it at a certain level. Like get the shade and then put a hat on for the other part and keep switching off to keep the shade? Blah. Sounds like so much work.

So I just put a hat on my characters. I like the summery feel of the straw hats with the summer like clothes though. It's very cute.

I'll try to tan but knowing me I'll just forget about it and my tan will go away.
Tanning in game is fun since I can't irl (I'm so pale and pasty that I burn.)

Agreeing with you here, the villager thing is getting kind of annoying. Mostly the Bob thing for me in all honesty. I just think it's extremely stupid. I understand people like villagers a lot on here, can't they make groups for their fan clubs?

tan ≠ being black, but I understand your point.

Since tanning is the closest I can get to reflect my actual skin, I don't find it 'yuck'. The process to get to my desired level, however, is annoying; because, you know, tanning takes time and I wish it didn't, but expanding skin color options is another discussion, perhaps.

I try to maintain my mayor's tan, but I can't be bothered to devote an hour every day so sometimes I just let it get back to pale. But because I like the tan so much, it doesn't take long before I head back to the Island.

Also, this sort of thread falls right in with the other threads you find annoying, in the sense that it discusses a topic people either care to engage in or don't. So...yeah. ?\_(ツ)_/?

Oh, and I don't care one way or another about tanning. It's a game that I love and I don't have time to worry about tanning when the little time I have to play requires more bell making and town building. The skin colour option would be cool for a lot of folks, and who knows - Nintendo May listen.

You do have a point. I'm just a tad cranky. . The threads you mention are indeed redundant, but I try to remember that many of the posters are either new and haven't seen the others before, or else they just want to share their feelings with people who understand their love.

Goodness, I know I did when I lived in such close quarters with my judgmental elderly aunt that if I so much as cracked open my DS she'd go on a spiel about how she had to walk twenty miles to school every day as a child uphill both ways...you get my meaning! Lol!

That is true. ACNL allows you to use your mii design but that would do nothing for your arms and legs, would it? I hadn't thought of that. Ugh...that would look weird. If the mii can be almost any colour, why would it be hard to add the option for ACNL?
