So, special villagers can't be adopted by others...

I have all the new special villagers (except Epona who I've ordered) and it seems none of them can be adopted by others? So far I've tried W. Link, Ganon, Inkwell and Marie. So I guess they're all the same.

So I was wondering if regular amiibo card villagers could be adopted out?
If anybody has tried this yet, I don't have any cards

The cards seems to work I have Poppy's amiibo card and she was just adopted.

I have both Cece and Vich? in my test cycle town right now, I didn't know they can't be adopted by others. And I have Cece moving now...

She's talking about Wisp, This maybe why they can't. I wished Marshal away in Chocolat and he didn't say anything like this. It was just what the regular villagers say when they move on us.

I imagine it's because Nintendo wants people to buy the amiibo figures, if everybody can get them from others they won't buy the figures I guess. Quite disappointing but expected I suppose
