So Reviews Actually ARE Slanted

If that is true, and it sounds credible, then how can you really trust what any of the game review sites put up for scores?

I go to IGN for game info. If I want reviews I'll go to gamefaqs.

Gamefaqs is owned by CNet, which also owns Gamespot, they are the same thing.

Also it suggests that IGN is slanted as well due to the remark "If you want [unslanted reviews] you'll have to go to The Onion or other smaller sites."

Well you see that is why I slant my view of reviews, Over a 9 is almost always worth your time, 8 still good, meh, and below that I start feeling like they suck...

ANyway I still think Zelda assuming you mean TP deserve a 9... but if you mean the DS one I really don't know....

The reviews I read at Gamefaqs are done by members.

That's why I rarely trust reviews anymore. I just ask friends with the game how it is, or play it for myself.

I'd like to hear the other side of the story. Usually people who are all caught up in their emotions with anger aren't very reliable... he sounds pretty pissed off that he was fired.

As far as IGN goes... this guy would have no idea, so don't stop going to sites just because one of the big ones messed up... if that at all.

I believe the quotes weren't actually from Gerstman, they were from an anonymous editor of Gamspot, and as you can see it is the advertising agencies and the companies who make them who are slanting them, so of course it is going to be on every game review site living off the same type of ads.

Also at Bam: Oh ok, I didn't understand what you were saying.
