I am thinking I should put it a new character. I have so many sets. I am DROWNING IN FURNITURE SETS! I keep buying them. I know have mush, sweets, polka dot, balloon, princess, and mermaid. I just put an order in a shop for 7/11, goregeous, and snowman. I have the first floor, basement, and attic all set up with sets and 3 in my meuseum. What is my life? I want to display them all!!!! I don't know what else I would do with said new character... Do you have another? What do you use it for?:(

I usually use additional characters as mules, additional storage and display space. I plan on adding a new player in the theme of my hubby, haha, and designing his house as sort of sloppy and messy, haha.

Some people use that as a term for an extra character to store furniture, patterns etc. with. For example a mule character would be an extra in your town that you only use for storing custom patterns and your extra furniture.

If the sets are re-orderable, i just sell them right away. Only keep the unorderables (like sets from Gracie, seasonal, island sets). If you're not sure if they are orderable or not, just go to Timmy's and check the catalogue. It'd tell you the price if they are re-orderable.. 'Not for sale' means they are unorderable.

From the sets you mentioned, you could sell polka dot set and just order them again when you actually need to use or display them. Don't let re-orderable items take up all your storage spaces. I used to hog on all the sets too lol.. then one day i just cleared out the reorderable stuff cuz i was running out of storage space >.< as long as they are cataloged, you can reorder them c:

If you're needing space for stuff, I recommend using the museum's second floor to display the sets you aren't using yet. There's 4 rooms on the second floor so take advantage of that space. And like others said, you could create extra characters to store the other sets along with the museum. So whatever works for you!

I definitely keep too many items, and I have the extra characters to help manage all my clutter. And I've had to upgrade their homes as well so that I can store even more! I've tried to give the side characters a bit of a personality in what they store and how their homes are decorated. If nothing else, that helps me remember where I might have stored an item I'm searching for. I second the advice to eliminate sets that you can reorder unless you are actively using them. It really helps with storage and with keeping things relatively organized.

In my second town, I've only used 2 of the side characters. That way I can use the campsite resetting trick to find new villagers. I'd like to use it in my main town too, but I can't bring myself to destroy a fully upgraded house. I hadn't heard about the trick before I created and upgraded the 3rd side character.
