So in the first day I was unhappy with my island, I’d rushed everything and I had pears as my native fruit which I hated l. The second time it was going well and I had one of my dreamies (flora) however I ended up time travelling and rushing again and messing everything up and I had oranges in which I hated. Now I’ve restarted and I’ve got axel who I think is adorable and also I’ve got Canberra who is scary but I mean I got axel. I got my favourite native fruit (apple) and my town map is pretty cool so I’m quite happy with it. I think I made the right decision As I won’t be second guessing my whole playthrough thinking I cheated but the whole starting process is pretty boring. Do you think I made the right decision or do you think it wasn’t really worth it

i think you've reset for some awesome things, so there's no use dwellin on the past! you sound really happy with what you've landed on, so it's worth it!

You really shouldn't overthink it too much. Nothing is ruined by skipping a day or two, especially not in the tutorial phase. It's your game, do whatever suits you, if you stop timetraveling it's fine. And don't worry too much about your starting villagers, the first 5 villagers on your island have a basic house that looks the same for everybody within their personality. It's better to get your dreamies or just likable villagers later on.

Personally I resetted once after three weeks of playing because I regretted my native fruit and my choice of map. For the latter, playing blindly in the beginning seemed like a good idea, but after these three weeks I now better know what I look for in a map so I was happy to reset. I had two south river outlets and they took up a lot of space. You also can't change the shape of your rocks, beach and outer layer of the ground plot, so it's something to keep in mind as well. It's better to try new things within your first month than to be unhappy a year from now.

Yeah I prefer the fruit and I really didn’t wanna rush things like I did on new leaf or time travel so I think I’m pretty content resetting now rather than later

Yeah I was too busy trying to get everything perfect now and rushing and I was scared if I didn’t reset now I wouldn’t want to afterwards and I’d be stuck not feeling content about the playthrough like you said it a better earlier. And thanks for the advice about the starters😭😂 I spent ages with the starters in new leaf and I was just a tad concerned about how my starters were gonna turn out
