So I'm trying to plan a sweets themed house and in terms of furniture and whatnot I can't decide what I want (the series of course, haha) but what else would look good in the house? Any ideas would be GREATLY appreciated. =)

Well there are a lot of food themed villagers so their pics?
Marshmallow chair, Soda Machine, Milk Case, Kitschy Clock, Kitchen Scale, Dessert Case, Slushie Machine, Freezer, Refrigerator, Chocolate Cake Collectible... Those are all I can think of off the top of my head at the moment. But I'm sure there are more! Oh, the Ice Cream Cone Lamp, not the one Gracie sells, the other one. Or is it called a Sweets Lamp but isn't the one she has... Sorry! But does this help you get started?
ETA - do you also want sweet-looking furniture besides the Sweets Set? There is always the Kiddie Set which looks nice when you have Cyrul customize it in Pastels. Or heck, even the Kiddie Set in the Fruits would work.

OMG...and don't forget the Candy Jar! How could I have forgotten that? There is also the Bread Box, the Toaster (have a heart customized on it, maybe!) and even a few toy items thrown in here and there may help, such as the Bears (customized or not), the Capsule Toy Machine, Colour Wheel, rocking horse, and other things that would be bright and cheery and remind someone of candy. Maybe even a few game machines? Crane Game, (pink) and the others I can't think of at the moment.
Just thoughts. Not too many toys perhaps, but maybe just enough to add to the atmosphere without taking away from the overall theme of sweets.

I'm going to try that one! I hadn't looked it up but I just assumed Cyrus would make them purple or pink or yellow. But toasted marshmallow? ADORABLE! Thank you!

My favorite thing that not too many people utilize is the donut stool refurbished to look like actual donuts! Other things in my sweets room include the afternoon tea set, the box of chocolates and the chocolate heart, the berliner, a wedding cake, birthday cake, and the flan tank and banana split hat.
Wait...you're not kidding about the donut stool being made to look like a real donut??? ROFL! Now I'll need to do that, too!
Those other items I don't have as they are special. I have the Gracie ones - GREAT idea! Forgot about her food hats and clothes. I need the cakes and the berliner sometime.
I hope March1392 is finding some great ideas here. I know I am and I don't even have a sweets room. Yet.
In my sweets room I have the toasted marshmallow chairs and I have soft-served lamps customized to chocolate and strawberry which look really cute. I think that yule logs,coffee cups, shaved ice lamps, cream and sugar, pumpkin pies, chocolate fountains, candy, lolipops and maybe even birthday items would look really cute in a sweet themed room as well.

If only you can take the furniture in the game and transport it to real life then i would have infinite cake and chocolate and diabetes and i will die of happiness. anyway, you can use a makeover with exterior, some of the sweets series, some pink and vivid girly looking things for the atmosphere, OH OH OH OH ADD LOLLIPOPS, FORTUNE COOKIES, PEICES OF CANDIES, and on valentines day you can get the cacao plant from your mom which is a plant that produces cocoa so yeah, and you can get the box of chocolate from the island and the chocolate cake and chocolate fountain and the chocolate heart. i never got the chocolate heart so idk but i hear its from valentines day. get some chocolate coins from gulliver too! and dont forget a couple pieces of fruit or something. some pink and purple flowers go great with the mood! try the birthday cake too and some sugar from the harvest festival. pumpkin pie and shaved ice lamp dlc are good too! stuff thats in merengues house are good too. dont forget wedding cake! cream and sugar from brewsters , coffee themed is optional because coffee is bitter and thats not sweet. desert case, candy jar, candy machine, ice cream case, popcorn machine, soft serve lamp, and stuff. maybe soft serve lamp, dessert case yum, soda case, milk case, afternoon tea set and thats all i can think of right now.

The candy and lollipops idea along with chocolate gold coins is good. I forgot that they show up as candy and such and not turn into those little bags.
