I reset my second town...and I am refusing to TT in it. I'm a little addicted to it, so I just do it in my first town. So far so good. Since day one...I never played the game how it was intended to be played. I'm using my second town to do just that. :)

Does anyone else have a second town that they got just to do that? Or am I the only one? lol

I have 2 games, my first game is used to build into my dream town, my second one is more of a cross between a cycling town and a growing town. I enjoy it this way. :)

I've never TT'd in my first town. I don't 'cheat' in games generally, it just not for me.
But since I got a second 3DS, I've been TTing like crazy, lol.

I'm doing that! I just restarted my town and picked it out today! I am participating in the Summer Challenge but just going at my own pace! I also TT in my main town a bit to plot villagers, grow plant, etc. so this is a good change for me! :D Good luck to your sweet new town!

I'm getting a 2nd copy off a family member soon and I intend to let things happen naturally this time. Tho, I also want to make it a more appealing town, I didn't really understand things about AC:NL back on my first game and I don't have the heart to delete to restart, so this is my solution too. Do people find it ok to manage two games?

as much hate as Im probably going to get for it, I do TT. Alot. Its addicting, and since some part of the day I just don't have the time to play New Leaf on, I gotta TT to that time of day if I want to catch a shark or something. Plus its really convenient for me.

I don't know why people have a problem with how people play their game, they payed for it and not everyone can stick to the real time in the game, because life happens.

I never played the game how it was intended to be played.

I see a lot of people saying this so I want to talk a bit more about this. If the persons behind ACNL, or whatever game for that matter, didn't want people to time travel there would be a trillion of ways to prevent this without completely taking away the change time/date-option. The makers of whatever game can have all sorts of intensions for how they want players to play it but that doesn't mean players can make those expectations true. Without proper communication and rules between maker and player this simply can't be done and it wouldn't make the game more enoyable. The fun of games nowadays is that you can use your imagination and strict rules would take that fun away.

I'm not saying with this that your current intension or though is 'wrong' as wrong is simply an opinion, I do say that the idea of changing your style of playing games just because you've the idea you need to because the game is intended to play in a different way is wrong. You should just play the game as you want it to and if game makers don't want that, they certainly will change things in the game so people can't do those things anymore.

The idea of constantly adapting to other people, people who you don't even know and don't know the intensions you're basing your discisions on is candid benevolant and if I might say a bit stupid, but that's something you may learn in the future. Accepting yourself and your actions is the most important part here.

I'm not saying this directed at you but at all people who read this. I know that sounds very pedantic, but I want to make clear that I did not forget that maybe this isn't your deeper reason of changing your playing style although you write it like that. But hey, let's not make this a word game.

Bosca, I have 3 games! :D It can take a fair bit of time every day, especially if you're working towards achievements like having a perfect town, but I enjoy it so much that I don't mind spending a bit of time. You can always just do a quick visit to maintain a town if you don't want to spend a lot of time, or don't have a lot of time to spend (15-20 minutes to talk to all villagers, dig up fossils if you want, etc.). Plus you have the bonus of being able to move villagers between your towns, checking turnip prices, etc. You can make it work if you'd like to have 2! Good luck!

Yeah, it seems a good fun challenge, thanks for the tips and goodluck to everyone trying it out.

Thanks! Good luck to your new town as well! :)

I get what you're saying, and I think the game was actually intended to play with little to no time travel. So people could be excited to see what happens the next day that they play the game. I'm not saying that time travel is wrong or cheating...I just wanted a town that I didn't time travel at all in.

With all that aside though...if you are not already a therapist you should totally be one...I think you would do wonderful in that line of work! :)

I only time travel because I'm months behind of the current date and trying to catch up without ruining my town. Otherwise the only cheat I consider doing is plot resetting, for obvious reasons.

I don't really time travel, but I do change the time a few hours back my usual time that way I have more time to finish my 'errands'. So yea, I don't really cheat because I feel like it would be risky.
However, I do agree with @ChooChooMuffin about plot resetting.

I am doing the opposite! My older town I did the all natural way for a year! I have decided to start over and now I TT when I am wanting a store to upgrade sooner. I know I did it the first time... now I want to get all of my dreamies :] But that's awesome and good luck!

My first two towns i never TT'ed , My third and now fourth I have been using to cycle for villagers i want so i did with them. Although as soon as I am done getting all the villagers I am searching for I will reset my third town to the current date and play it normal .
