...in an effort to make room for dreamies. The first villager I saw who wanted to move out was... Jitters. I actually got sad since he's grown on me since he was a starter. Like, I was actually close to heartbroken, but I made sure he stuck around. I did end up getting an unwanted villager out of my town, but after going back to real time and getting him out, the plot was instantly replaced by Cookie. So... not sure I'll time travel again! On the way to the future, I unlocked the second Nook's Cranny and spoiled myelf, passed my birthday (which I'm not even sure will happen again now!) and simultaneously overloaded my mailbox and let weeds run amok. Weighing the pros against cons, not sure I'll do it again, even for dreamies.

If you want to TT in order to make room for dreamies, you have to make sure you have someone that's willing to give you your dreamy on the same day the plot is empty. Or else, like you experienced, it'll get replaced immediately. It's not really a side effect of time travelling, it also happens when you're playing normally.

Definitely true, didn't entirely know what I was doing lol. Mostly, I didn't like how I unlocked Nook's Cranny and spoiled myself, as well as let weeds grown all over the place. I guess I see why some people are anti-TT or pro-TT better now

Another thing to be aware of is that if you TT, your turnips will rot and that the prices for them will stay below 100 bells for a while...
Also it might just be me but I also have a feeling that the friendship "level" you are at with your villagers will go back to zero. I remember having villagers ping me often but when I TT'ed, I wasn't getting pinged as often.

Yeah. When I time traveled to get a villager out before, I kept going to the island before I time traveled back to get a villager in before a random moved. I figured I would get one from my friends island of all the villagers she voided, which I did not want. Hahaha. You just gotta make sure you have a plan, either by going to island or adopting a villager from someone else.

Aw dang! I had a good thing going with some of my villagers, especially Pashmina (she's awesome). Lesson learned 😅

Make sure to have someone planned to come before opening a plot (unless ur okay with random) and tt only if u don't have turnips and a plot open
dont tt for a year and otherwise It'll be fine- all villagers eventually as to go ^^ but honestly if u tt a week or day by day or weeks by weeks you shouldn't be putting a lot at risk

u can redo ur bday i think!

Ah, that's good at least. Thanks for the notice!

your birthday, holidays and events all happen on the date, even if they've already happened in the year. i accidentally experienced bunny day like 4 times now, and even had a visitor over during "bunny day." i tt quite a bit and i'd recommend only doing it for a specific purpose, like getting a villager out or sundays for turnips. i've only tt'd more than a month once, and it ended up in raymond pinging me about leaving and that broke my heart. never again my sweet baby boi

For sure, when your favs want to go it definitely hits you. Also glad holidays are fine. Although I've been annoyed by eggs I've been excited for the actual Bunny Day.

I can confirm that your friendship level will not go down to zero, it might lose points, but you don't go back to 0.

yeah man, my favorite part about bunny day hoenstly is every villager in a little egg costume doing an egg hunt, it makes up for the eggpocalypse

Oh, alright! Good to know.

Yes it was super adorable 🤩

I've found if you jump only 5-6 days at a time your town won't get overrun with weeds, but it also makes move-outs less likely.

Turnips will only rot if you time travel backwards. Also, I TT all the time for turnip prices and they’re below 100 some days and much higher others, just as they would be normally, so that may have been coincidence if that’s what happened to you
