It just makes me happy to share something with him. He's only just started to play and he's like oh oh how do i do this? What's this mean? And all these different questions. I hope he likes it, gives us something to bond over!

Just simply wanted to share this c:

lol, I love it when people come to me asking how to do certain things in games.

I'd love to get my mom a 3DS XL and ACNL. I know she'd enjoy it a lot, but I don't think she'd play it that much. That kinda puts me off from buying it...

Hope you two have a lot of fun together! :)

Normally he's helping me with games (he taught me how to play LoL) so it's fun for it to be the other way around.

He did say "even if I didn't like it, I'd play it with you cause it would make you happy" but I think he's hooked already. I showed my town to my mum and she's like why do I have to talk to that squirrel? How do I move? So it's like D; but my bf is 3ds savvy :3

Thanks!

My mom played a lot of games on the DS. She beat both the Zelda titles by herself, she played the Layton games back-to-back, she loved Etrian Odyssey (even though it's hard as hell)... She stopped playing because she got kinda stressed out, but ACNL is so relaxing. I think just the fact that it's a game would put her off of it though. :(

That's adorable! I'm a mom and have played AC since game cube days. For my bday last year, I went and reserved 4 copies. 1 for me and 3 for my oldest kids. After it released, I went and picked them up and sat on them for a week while we waited to go on vacation for out 10 hour drive. Hardest week ever!!!! I later got a copy for my youngest son as well :) my kids don't play as much as I do, but we all still play together on it :) you guys enjoy!!!

i let my 6 year old cousin play but she doesn't know how to read lmao
she makes me read out loud for her smh

That's really nice ^^ I wish I had some friends that liked the same games that I do. I know some people..but they all live far away. My former best friend and I we used to play mortal kombat to settle our disputes lol

My sister (60 years old) has been wanting to play NL, but only so she can fish. I have a side character that I let her play as just so she won't get bothered by the villagers wanting to talk (the side character has never talked to anyone in town). I'm a little afraid she will (by mistake) run and ruin some flowers. I've thought about getting her a XL and NL, but she is the type who really really likes something, but then just stops liking it. I don't know that I want to spend the money on something she will maybe only play for 6 months or less. I know I could always use the game to create a theme town, but I just don't know.

My boyfriend has Animal Crossing, and we're also in a long distance relationship. When I found out he had it I was really excited to play with him. Come to find out we can't connect, we always get an error. We both have great internet (I connect to others all the time) but for some reason it just doesn't work for him and I. :/
The sad part is he really likes Nintendo and The Legend of Zelda, and I'd gotten a lot of the fortune cookie items for him. Oh well.

It's cute that you and your boyfriend can now play ACNL and bond over it though. c: I'm happy for you both! Sounds like a great bonding experience (Slightly off topic, but I made a best friend through ACNL.)

Ahh that's great :D I was so constantly hyped for ACNL for like, a year before it came out, that I got my (long distance) boyfriend hyped for it too, so he bought it at launch with me - and then stopped playing just a couple of weeks later... u__u He was disappointed that the villagers were a bit more "shallow" than he had expected. I feel kinda bad for essentially making him buy something he ended up not enjoying so much. But in the beginning when he still played, we constantly went on cute dates together in-game, so it was absolutely wonderful! Playing online games while you're apart is a really nice thing. :)

Aww that's lovely :) My fiance brought me the Animal Crossing bundle for my birthday last year but I really can't get him into it. AC:NL is my game but we bond over things like Oblivion, Skyrim or the Lego games :P

That's cool ^.^

A few of my friends have the game too, and my sister might get it. I was going to give my nephew Wild World, since I wouldn't use it anymore and he'd probably like it. However, when we left, my sister took it from him e.e

Probably my favorite part of seeing him play it was when he named his town.. It was something totally random and ridiculous, but awesome at the same time.. I can't remember what it was, but its ending was "weed" xD
I think he went around collecting flowers, putting them in his house, and talking to villagers (even though he can't read)
