I really want to get a golden watering can so I decided I'd check how to get the Perfect Town rating online. I've read that having clovers is okay, which is great 'cause I've worked really hard to get some clover paths, and I've chopped down about 50 trees because I had way over the 220 trees limit. Still, I keep getting a bad rating whenever I ask Isabelle and I don't know what to do anymore!

I counted and I have 26 PWP and she still says that the villagers feel that the town is underdeveloped, what's up with that?
I also read that the Illuminated PWP slightly damage the rating, but I thought that the other PWP I have and the amount of flowers I have and everything would balance that out. Has anyone had trouble getting the Perfect Town status like that and can help me out?

I think you still have too many trees! Even though i had tons of public works projects, whenever i talked to Isabelle she told me the town was underdeveloped. cutting down a bunch of trees fixed the problem, and i had a perfect town!

I got mine yesterday, with a lot less hassle than what you seem to be having :/
Maybe its because my town is relatively new so there was less to do? Have you lowered your trees any more, has it helped??

I'm still working on it haha
Now I've got the ''middle ground'' status.

That happened to me the first time I played! I casually asked Isabelle one day, I wasn't even trying to get the Perfect Town, I was just curious, and she just gave me a gold watering can!

I got it!! Just chopped down a bunch more trees like you said

Thank you guys so much for the help! :D

Yaaay! Now just for the watering can ;)
Have you decided on a townhall renovation? Or are you keeping it as it is? :)

I think I'm keeping it as it is because I really like the original design, I kinda feel like the other options don't feel much like a town hall you know?
Although they do look great on themed towns

iv gotten alot of my towns as a perfect town before resetting cuz i only realized how ugly my town is by than lol, i mainly just place a bunch of street lamps for PWP and put all the flowers in one area and let them breed, something i like doing to get rid of PWP i don't like/need, is to get a new player set in, and while getting nook to place your house, he will remove any PWP to fit the house (doesn't work on non removable PWP like the camp site though)) to get rid of any PWP that are downgrading the town without spending money or time to get it removed. other than making sure you have 9 oe 10 villagers, and the certain amount of PWP and plants, id say you should be set, removing any extra trees or down grading PWP would be your best option tbh

Yeah, the thing is that I decided to get the rating a little bit too late, 'cause I already had my whole town pratically done, with all the trees and almost all the PWPs and everything. And thanks for the tip on the bad PWPs! But the only ones that I read that would downgrade the rating are the illuminated stuff and I have four illuminated trees and one illuminated arc so probably those were the source of all this trouble.
But everything is fine now and I didn't have to get rid of my illuminated things which is awesome 'cause I really love them haha
