So can we trade fish in this game or...?

I just wasted 120 fish bait trying to catch a third mahi-mahi so I can have a model made whenever C.J. shows up again and no luck.

So, like... could I just buy it off of someone that caught one? Or is that still not possible in this game either?

You can trade fish models, but not fish. You can also keep trying for the Mahi Mahi without bait, since it'll be available at least through June.
