Also I agree with the whole Sonic's spamming Dash A being annoying, almost rekt the guy too but he got a lucky Up smash on me zzz

Is it just me or has Meta Knight taken a huge nerf this game. My judgement may be skewed by the fact that I've lost quite a few times with him, but...honestly I have no clue lol.
Yeah he was nerfed big time. He was OP in Brawl.
I actually LIKE the way Metaknight plays now. It feels more natural to me

I haven't played much Smash since the days of the N64 version, so... basically, I suck at this. I'm still having difficulty with level 4+ CPUs. I managed to get all the unlockable characters, but some took numerous tries to beat.
Any tips from seasoned players about battle tactics in general or familiarizing yourself with Smash? Right now, I just feel like I'm not remotely a challenge to anyone.

For a start, I suggest that taking dodges and shields really seriously as you'll really be needing them for actual battles to remain somewhat safe if someone is trying to head on attack you.
Grabbing is also something to consider as it gives quick and somewhat decent damage, at a low percentage rate on your opponent, just grab em and quickly input one of the 4 directions, If they're at 50% or more you can probably press A on them twice during grabs (Well, depends on your speed on attacking really, You'd probably get one with Mario but get 2-3 with Ness before they can break free)
I mean, I could show you how I play if that would somewhat help?

Anyone have any tips on spectating? I love it but I always end up rooting for the wrong people. Any gold tips too? XDD

Just checked and there are 8 more for you. ~ If you're doing it via smash/vs matches then you're a third of the way there. (40/120)
No suggestions for spectating, just look at their current wins and whether they've improved recently I guess? Betting your winnings could land you huge amounts, but it's risky.
For Gold just farming smash run and Classic and selling spare upgrades afterwards seems to do pretty well. I find avoiding fighting in smash run and grabbing as many chests as possible can get you a fair bit of gold.
