Smash Bros Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U Discussion Thread

Does anybody have any advice for beating Little Mac?
it seems like everybody is using him online cuz hes easy to use :/

Little Mac is one of the easiest people to counter. His airs are pretty much useless, and if he goes off a ledge, he's done for. The whole idea is to try and stay around the edge of the stage and shield when he lunges at you. While you're still shielding, you grab him, get a few hits off of the grab, and throw him off stage. Easy as that, I hope this helps!

Also, if anyone wants to play, shoot me a PM. :)

If no one minds me asking, then- I'm actually struggling to play a little bit. No matter what, even when I'm playing as level 7s or 8s, I always manage to get destroyed half the time, and barely pull through on the next. Does anyone know what I could potentially be doing wrong, and how I can improve?

(Also, I don't think my problem are the characters I'm using. They're some of the ones I'm best at.)

if only half the time you're getting beaten by lvl 7's and 8's you're not that bad lol

Honestly the best thing to do is start at a level where you find it a bit of a challenge and when you start finding it easy work your way up!
I can play lvl 9's pretty easy because i've played every ssb and playing against other human players who are a little better then you is also a great way to play and train! Me and my brother have been playing together since the first ssb and against coms, but i'd definatly play against other human players as well cuz we're smarter/harder then coms so you get used to loads peoples fighting styles and with online its super easy to do!

I can imagine them making the AI harder than they were in the Demo but I have yet to try the level 9 AI's myself in the full game.

Oh and also play with no items if forces you to rely on your characters skills rather then items

@Murray: Thanks! ^_^

@Akidas: Thanks for the suggestions! I suppose part of the problem was that I never bothered to go above level 3 in previous Smash Bros games... Nonetheless, I'll give it a try next time I'm on.

No problem! Omg we're always on lvl 9 my brother doesnt play against coms unless they are.
But yeah defo find someone to play against another human is the best way to train!

Mhm I wanna play against real people but I'm nervous they'll think I'm a noob because I can barely beat Level 8s oops

@Savannah: Sure thing! I'm not really planning on playing for a bit yet- my fingers are kind of numb from playing continuously- but if I see you online, I'll join a game.

@Justice: No need to feel worried! I'm sure there are plenty of others who have the same difficulties. I'm pretty much in the asame boat, for instance.
