Smash Bros Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U Discussion Thread

Ok so I finally got to use all of the demo character's final smashes and ahh there all so cool!

Anyways, for the public. Which Final Smash from (Mario, Link, Pikachu, Mega-Man and Villager) do you like the most? Which do you think is the most powerful?

Personally I like Pikachu's the most because it's very interactive and lasts the longest. However I think Link's final smash is the most powerful!

Pikachu's is such a bother that I have to stay on the floating platform when you re spawn till he stops using it. I like using mega man's since it's easy to get all three cpu's
 
I've never been able to KO with Mario's FS. Link's is powerful but I don't play as him a lot. I haven't demoed Megaman's but I have demoed Villager's and Pikachu's. Pikachu's Final Smash has always been too hard to control, and besides I never play as Pikachu anyway.

Oh and we're all mourning for Lucas and Wolf but (as we've predicted) Ness and Fox/Falco get some of their moves! Fox can use Wolf's Side B and Ness can use PK Freeze

It was logical but it makes me wonder what Lucas will get IF there's DLC (We have a bit of evidence that we could take as proof but they're just images of arrows or w.e) will get PK Freeze again and/or another move, or he'd just be an alt costume.

Oh and Luigi get's an ice ball which freezes at higher percentages
 
If nobody knows of this yet if you go to Group Smash in the demo and set the CPU option to the third or fourth option it will let you go into practice mode with the sandbag. So if you wanted to practice without having a CPU jumping around all over the place and no time limit there you go.

<:I I did mention saying I hope that PK Freeze would be a possibility a few days back, I'm just happy that it's actually in. That's all.

Coolest:Megaman's
Generally just the best:Pikachu or Mario

I think Mario's is the most powerful. It has a big range and it pretty much always K.O's you.

I like Pikachu's because you know, it's really fun to hit people with a ball of lightning.
 
It's possible to pocket Link's FS, I just tried. Only saying this because some people are saying it's not possible.

Wow, neat! Did you do that in the full game or the demo? Which villager costume were you using when you did that?

I love Link's final smash! However, I think Villager's is hilarious! *Yay we built a house* *BOOM* XD

Sorry 'bout my dumb rant. Apparently it's real.

What happens when you take it out?
 
So I found an explanation to it. Neat.
Basically I didn't (neither did anyone else) 'pocket' the Final Smash, the Villager is invincible for a few seconds while using his pocket move. Nice.

The demo, the only hard part was waiting for the Smash Ball and the right time. I used the default No 1 Shirt but (according to the video above) it shouldn't matter. :)

Well I just found out (in the video above) that the Villager is temporarily 'invincible', meaning that no, he doesn't pocket the FS, but he 'dodges' it. But nothing happened when I pressed B, he grabbed out to grab something else. It'd be neat if he could pocket a Final Smash though. :P

Oh and a bit off topic; the codes for the unlimited demo should still work. My friend found an email from Nintendo with the four codes in today and he could use them. I read in places that they expired on Friday but (in his case or the UK at least) they're still usable, and I could imagine they're cheaper to buy now that the demo hit the eShop.

Yea I also like Mega-Man's! Personally I think his is the most appealing! ^^

Couldn't agree more!! Though I haven't used Mario enough to see his final smash at his highest potential. When I did use it, it killed 2 cpu's though. ^^

Haha yea Mario's is really strong. Pikachu's is just bad ass! Can't wait to see all of the other characters in action! ^^

I couldn't stop laughing when I saw Villager's final smash! And yea Link's is really powerful, though it took me the longest to get it to work since you had to be right on a character for it to work. :p
 
^You don't have to be right on someone to do it; you just have to make sure you're lined up. I could hit them from across the stage.
