Tbh I was too lazy to play on weeding day and get the flower set so I just bought it.

I'm usually too busy to play on holidays (I'm sure a lot of others are too), and recently I've been too busy to play at all. So personally I think that in-game holidays are kind of a waste of time.

Well I'm too lazy to even remove Beautiful town so yeah I'm probs gonna buy it some day... Plus I kinda like the topiaries so

Skipping a major holiday - Has anyone ever skipped a major Holiday?

Yes. I have skipped over some major Holidays. Sometimes I am not in the mood to experience the holidays in-game, so I skip over them and change the date to the desire date that I want. At times... I may want to build some PWPs, but couldn't due to it being a holiday and it gives me more a a reason to skip the holidays in ACNL.

Disabling beautiful town is a huge disservice to your town and all the lil flowers that inhabit it.

I also did not want to get rid of beautiful town, I have too many flowers to keep track of them without that ordinance xDDD

I‘ve had ”Animal Crossing: New Leaf” four years and handle playing however I choose. In my original town, Applewin, I go for breaks of not playing and, during such time off, I will miss the birthdays of humans and/or villagers. I have chosen to just let a lot of that go. It doesn’t bother me. The game can become overly demanding if you let it have too much control. So, I recommend doing more of what you want than to feel you have to be there for every holiday.
