SIMS 3 WHYYY

So, after not playing for about a month, I go into my Sims 3 game, everything is normal. It asks me to update, so I do. I start up my game, and it starts giving me the tutorial. Hmm. Weird. Then, all my game files are gone. What.
I go into create a sim, AND ALL MY CC IS GONE. ALL OF IT. EVEN MY STORE CONTENT IS GONE!

Im just so devastated, I want to smash my computer. Sims why ;___;

I was very far into the game. But everything is goneeee

Look to see if your sims 3 saves are still in the right folder. If they are, you might be able to fix it from there.

did you download the game illegally? or did you buy it, cuz i know sometimes with downloads that can mess it up sometimes. thats why i dont update my game

Does is load up then freeze every minute of the day? I also had a problem with my guy going to work as a cop naked with a Ken doll penis.

It doesn't even load nowadays. It just crashes. It used to freeze though.

Look in your documents folder. Click "Electronic Arts" > "The Sims 3" and check if all the files are there. I've never heard of them being deleted before. Maybe you just have to re install all your CC?

Chill darling~ I always stop playing and when I am back to it, I will have my game all removed and rebuild everything =x plus now yea waiting for sims 4!! heck care sims 3 anymore! xD

I played Sims 3 once and my only enjoyment was making a fat guy named Lee Dewyze. He never got to 'woohoo' though, unfortunately.

I figured out the problem! I had accidentally deleted my Electronic Arts folder, and it was using a backup one. Everything is fixed now! lol, I feel so stupid xD

I haven't played in a while, so I created a sim.

Like Lauren said, it's fun to re-create your whole sim, unless you we're REALLY far out in it (etc max career, skill, perfect family/story) like me, and I deleted everything because my game became too laggy.

Anyways, my sim was a heartbreaker, so I got her a boyfriend, and pregnant, then broke up with him. She is a writer. Weird mix, I know, lol.

I don't know what EA are playing at. I played it for about 2 hours earlier then the game just ended itself without any warning or after messages so I had about 2 hours of gameplay gone. Dx I don't remember the sims 2 crashing even half this much. The sims 3 should not be crashing this much anyway with all the updates they stick into the thing. I swear every time I update it, it just gets worse.
