I usually do the method Andelsky taught me.

When someone is in boxes, you go ahead a year, save. Go ahead another year. Save. Then you go ahead 5 days.

But if you have nine or more villagers, like I do now, it's best to TT one day at a time... Like I am now.

When you get to 2050, you TT back to 2012 and go a day at a time until someone is in boxes, then start again.
