Similar games to Animal Crossing?

anyone know any good games that are similar to Animal Crossing???

Harvest Moon is kinda. I have A Wonderful Life and Magical Melody for Gamecube.

Yeah, Harvest Moon/Rune Factory is only thing close to Animal Crossing besides the Sims. Rune Factory is more like Zelda though, but you can still fish and grow things, interact with the villagers.

i was thinking about getting Harvest Moon Magical Melody for the Gamecube, or another wonderful life, which one is better?

I like Magical Melody MUCH better than AWL. AWL has superior graphics though, but MM is more fun.

i heard AWL and ANWL are more like real life than MM is this true?

Since they are so cheap (because they're Gamecube) you could just get them all.

MM has little notes you have to unlock to beat the game. Each note is something you have to do in-game.

Magical Melody isn't that cheap, because you can play the disk on the wii. but they have a version of it for the wii anyway, but i like gamecube controls better

It's like $20 or less at the local Kmart. For Wii AND Gamecube.

On the DS there is a game called Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times, which is really similar to the Animal Crossing series, but offers more things to do.
