I don't know, man, but you've got a lot of catching up to do... haha. 53 minutes of tunes so far, with 3 more vocals... like I originally said, the overall running time will be a little over 60 minutes.OddCrazyMe said:Woah, how did I go without seeing this thread. :O
Haha, yea. I'll get through all of it eventually. I'm listening to some of the tunes now. Silhouette is astounding. It sounds like it just came out of a Final Fantasy game. It's beautiful.Bulerias said:I don't know, man, but you've got a lot of catching up to do... haha. 53 minutes of tunes so far, with 3 more vocals... like I originally said, the overall running time will be a little over 60 minutes.OddCrazyMe said:Woah, how did I go without seeing this thread. :O
Thanks! Yeah, it's an original... I wonder if a lot of people will pick up on the structure or just listen straight through. I purposely made it multifaceted in terms of tone, for exactly the reason you said -- it adds mystery.OddCrazyMe said:Haha, yea. I'll get through all of it eventually. I love how it changes tones constantly. It sort of gives it that mysterious feeling. That's an original piece, correct?
Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "dialogue?" There weren't any vocals that I missed, right? D:Bulerias said:Thanks! Yeah, it's an original... The structure is:
Intro - "A" (main theme) - "B" (improv "dialogue") - "C" (more upbeat, darker part) - "D" (chord "dialogue") - altered "A" (same chords, different melody) - restatement of "A".
By "dialogue", I mean a kind of "conversation" between the guitars... first something by the classical, then by the jazz... during "B", I'm playing two chords on the classical and improving on the electric with the appropriate scales (A minor and E phrygian, respectively). During "D", I just take turns playing chords on the two guitars.OddCrazyMe said:Just out of curiosity, what do you mean by "dialogue?" There weren't any vocals that I missed, right? I'm listening to Silence right now. Another solid piece.
